Course Curriculum Overview
I was always an mechanical machines enthusiast , that's mainly influenced me to took Mechanical Engineering. It's a great branch and the faculties in our college are also great with some with masters from the foreign universities as well .Their teaching ethods are also very amazing and very easy to understand. We had a great exposure to practicals as well which prepares us very well for our future for work life. This is a course of 4 years and there are 8 semesters . In each semester , there are two examinations :- Mid-term examination and End-term examination, with exams and vivas as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of our college mainly depends on which category you are. For Gen/OBC, if your family income is more than 8 lakhs , you have to pay 65-70k per semester, if your family income is between 5 to 8 lakhs , you will have to pay 25k per semester, if your family income is less than 5 lakhs , you will have to pay 6-7k per semester and same goes for ST and SC students. There are many scholarships also available based to merit and category based as well which makes it very affordable for students to study in this college.
Campus Life
NIT AGARTALA has one of the beautiful campuses of all NITs. It has a large central library with so many books. You can borrow books from there. It has one of the largest and beautiful sports complex of all Engineering colleges in India with a big basketball court, badminton court, football ground, cricket ground, gym , a swimming pool under construction etc. It has a big campus with high speed wifi facilities everywhere including the hostels. Many cultural as well as technical fests like Moksha, AAYAM, etc, take place every year. There are many clubs of Robotics, photography, dancing , singing , coding , football, cricket etc. Many sports events also occur every year in the college including the inter-nit sports tournaments.
Admission
The admission to NIT Agartala is through JEE MAINS EXAMINATION scores. Eligibility for JEE Mains Examination is Class 12th passed or equivalent. All the details about the aplication form and fees , dates will be available in the NTA website . There are reservation benefits also for OBS, GEN(EWS), ST ,SC , Female and PWD students. The difficulty of this examination to medium to difficult level.
