Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Geography as my major and as far as I have observed practical learning is considered to be a good source of information for anyone here. And it is emphasized by the faculty. Many initiatives have been taken like Dharini magazine that is released every year based on one of the themes of leading environmental crisis and suggestions from all over the college and DU are taken in concern for this.
Internships Opportunities
Yaa the placement cell provides availability of internships via calling various companies to the college in four breaks. Once in the winter, others in summer and the rest two in the semester breaks.
Placement Experience
College does have its own placement cell that creates opportunities for interested students. It doesn't have any fixed criteria or a scheme like placement after graduation. So this may appear to be a bit of a problem to some. But the placement cell provides enough opportunities for students and provides them with the experience and skills they must sharpen to appear in interview in future.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of this course in comparison to other universities is low. It is an annual based fee system and examination fees separately every semester. Around 25K was enough to pay for a course in Geography for a period of 3 years. Including examination fee cost.
Hostel Facilities
The only backdrop of getting admission in the college is that it does not have any accommodation facility for students coming from far off places and other states. But the solution to this problem I'd not too big as rooms/accommodation is available in nearby areas of college. Kotla and South Ex are the nearest of them.
Faculty
The faculty of our course is highly qualified having mainly doctorates from all over India. And regularly guest teachers are introduced every semester for enhancing the quality of education. The professors are also very helpful and genuine.
