Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very relevant and industry related . It covers almost every part and i would even say it is very hectic . In our 1st year there is DSA , Web development and DSD which are really hard but very relevant .
Internships Opportunities
Many companies and start-ups visit for internship . They provide decent stipend of about 20000 INR and can go upto ?100000. Companies like wipro , microsoft , american express visit and provide internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
Placements are good as this is NIT. After 7 semesters students are eligible for college placements. Companies like Microsoft, google, airtel, Goldman Sachs visited our campus and 100+ offers were given to the CSE branch last year. The highest package was 65 LPA and the average package was 11 LPA. Almost 70% of students were placed. I plan to get a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
If someone has income certificate of less than 5 lakh they get 2/3 of fees off from studies and if less than 1 lakh , they get 100% off from study fees. Scholarships are provided to financially and socially disabled students from various organisations like OP jindal. Employment opportunities are really good as there is huge market and a student runned mess .
Campus Life
Overall experience is very good . There are lots of fests around the academic year. For example cultural event like confluence and technical event like techspardha are the big one. There are lots of cultural clubs like PhotoG , colours , finearts ,etc and technical societies like microbus , technobyte , etc. Overall infrastructure is decent . Buildings are very old but functional .
Hostel Facilities
Hostel are very old . They look very old and clunky. We live in triple sharing and bathrooms are not cleaned too . Overall they are decent but not anything to praise off . Meal quality is decent , sometimes its good too . Registration process is very simple and quick. The locality is thanesar and decent PG are available.
Admission
The admission process was very simple and straight-forward . The cut-off of general category students was 99 percentile of JEE mains entrance exam . JEE is the only mode of examination from which we can enter into B.Tech . I didn't like the last process of counseling, it was very scorching and air conditions were not working properly . It was really hectic .
