Course Curriculum Overview
Opting for any course depends upon anyone's individual interest in that particular subject and field. However I felt that this would be the course which will be effected by AI at the last and also very less. NEP curriculum is practically based on today's industrial need which prepares a good engineer, however it's fully depend on how you and your faculty engages about classes and lab and how much you could extract from your faculty. The areas which could be improved by introducing new methods and technology with real life example and by giving task for practical use of the theory taught in class. Exams in engineering is very frequently occurring phenomenon, you will deal with 2 internal exam in which best one will be considered and 1 external exam. But you will get 2 internal exam option only from second year.
Internships Opportunities
Royal Enfield, RVNL, etc are some company which provides unpaid internship, so there is no stipend offered to the students, whereas if any student gets internship by self they would get stipend. Mini Projects 1&2 are assigned by the faculty in 5th & 6th semester respectively where as in the final year we are assigned major project, faculty instruct the students for the completion of the project and report.
Placement Experience
After the 7TH semester some of the company comes in college for the placement which was just started from this year, means from 2023, Some of the companies visit are Cipla etc. No of offers was not such good but there is positive change in this domain to improve in future. Highest package was about 5-6 Lac wheres lowest was 3.5 lac. Percentage of the students getting placed is very less around 5-6%. My plan is to try to get off campus placement with good CTC, if this plan will fall than I will go for campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no chance on tuition fee increase hence the rate of such hikes after your successful admission is zero. You will have to spent under 1 lac rupees for four years of B.Tech including all academic charge, here hostel and mess charge is not considered. Names and amounts of scholarships or financial aid which are available for students are NSP, LIC scholarship, and so on, but no any scholarship by the college. There is no campus employment option for UG students.
Campus Life
Here there are having two to three major annual and techincal fest, in which one Annual day function is being done in March month and two fest Rudraksh and Ananta is done in March and April month respectively. There are variety of books which you could get access for whole semester to study and you can keep it with you for whole semester. A student gets free excess. Here is no such a group created by students which deals with help and other.
Admission
For the eligibility for the admission in mechanical engineering course or in any engineering course here you should have Physics, Chemistry and Math in your 12th. You have to pass CUET exam with PCM and get at least 200+ marks total in 300. Here you will get reservation based on caste and ews and also if your parent is in arm force. CUET is not so difficult exam and can be cracked easily with decent practice. Exam is held once in a year. You should keep your documents fully prepared if you are willing for admission and also one should visit the office website www.hnbgu.ac.in for updates.
