Course Curriculum Overview

It has best faculty members who are like chief engineers and Captain of this marine field . So if these types of brilliant teachers are holding the academic section of this college then obviously there is no need of any type of improvement in their methods. Now coming to the extra co-curricular activities as in these things there are programmes related to communication and confidentiality are held so that cadets can enhance their ability.

In our college mainly the placement starts from 4 th semester. The first company which comes is chevrons and after that from 5th and 6th sem companies like NYK , Pacific basin , Shell , torm, goodwood, the eagle star . Our seniors placement percentage was extremely good like 90% of them were placed and rest of them have gone for defence and research purposes

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is around 1.25 lakh for each semester and for the whole year it's around 10 lakh including the mess and hostel fees. As it comes under government premises so the cadets get scholarships easily without any difficulties.

Like I have been in this college since 2022 . So now I'm in 2nd year. This session is also going to be completed in few months. This college helps me to build a confident and dominant character so that I can chase any type of hindrance.

Admission

Best college if you are pursuing btech in marine engineering. The cadets can apply after their completion of class 12 th .as it is a undergraduate degree in shipping career. Sc/ST cadets are given a relaxation of 5 percent in minimum eligibility score. Cadets seeking admission in this college are strongly recommended for passport.Application form fees for general is 1000/-. The exams are divided in 5 section consisting of English, aptitude test, mathematics, physics and chemistry..

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
