Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum will depends on the selected department, faculty incharge and the subjects we are interested in, it's mostly flexible form 2nd year and we can choose electives according to our interests.There was a curriculum change from 2023 according to that we have core subjects from 1 st year.
Internships Opportunities
Companies offer summer internships etc to students who are willing to do it.it can improve the job skills in students , responsibilities , the duration can range from 3 to 6 months . It will give better understanding about their course
Placement Experience
Campus placement is there in the campus .The faculties of NIT Calicut is continuously working with the companies to provide better placement opportunities to the students.There is also internship opportunities in the 3rd year. NIT Calicut is top institute in Kerala in terms of placement
Fees and Financial Aid
In NIT Calicut for undergraduate programs the fees is decided by the government of India , there are also register fees, examination fees and hostel fess.For SC / ST students there is fee deduction in NIT Calicut
Campus Life
There is a diverse group of students from all over India. Since NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance the fest here is very good.There is a technical fest TATHVA and a cultural fest RAGAM happening every year. RAGAM is one of the biggest fest in South India
Hostel Facilities
Since I am a girl I will talk about the ladies hostel (LH). Here there are 4 and 5 share rooms for 1st years and 2 sharing for 2 nd and 3 rd year and single room in the final year.we have a 3-4 messes , gym , batminton court, basket ball court etc . within the hostel. Food is also good here we will get south Indian and North Indian foods here
Admission
It will change from college to college, firstly we have to an online application by paying some fees in their official online wedsibe. Then when we come to the college we have to bring adhar card, 10 th and 12 th certificate, JOSAA documents,and if you have benefited by any reservation you have to bring that also .
