Course Curriculum Overview

course curriculum would be the best i have to say because it seems so relevent for me,because as an IT student it does not make sense for me to study mechanics and civil and all other stuff,so what we have in 1st sem is like programming ,digital electronics etc.. so it makes sense that this is relevent. facualty is very average and some not well experianced to be honest and some are really good. exams are not so difficult but the exams are taking place in a fast pace, its like exams after exams.

placements are pretty okayish and makes sense, students with good skills are surely getting recognised and also getting what they deserve and youll get placed if you work enough and you wont have lack of opportunity i assure that

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure makes sense and it's not too high for state merit and almost double for all india merit students and scholarships are available and it's pretty much okay to be honest and they dont provide any interships.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good compared to other ktu colleges, but the given infrastructure is pretty much okay with an ambiance of you having cows and crows all around you 24/7. the library is really good and the sports facilities for football and cricket are good.

Hostel Facilities

I didn't get a university hostel and is staying in a private one which is almost accurately 10 times more the uni hostel but uni hostels are hard to get for btech students unless you have a reservation so yeah.

Admission

admission process went quite well ,it was on time and quite sharp and clean. it was done in the seminar complex cusat, which is a nice hall which is fully air conditioned it was comfort there and we were called in an orderly manner and the facualty was pretty friendly and next we went through the biometric verification process which went well. there werent much delay in all that and everyone had smooth process i guess,

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More
