How good are the placements for B.Tech in IT students at CUSAT?

The placement opportunities are good enough for B.Tech IT students at CUSAT. The main requirement is a good CGPA in all first 6 semesters of the degree, a good coding knowledge, and soft skills like communication. You can acquire soft skills by participating in extracurricular activities during your degree. Both the options are good. There is no such difference in the quality of education, either in these two branches, or any other branch in CUSAT. They make you work hard, focus on every detail, and stress a lot on the practical classes and labs. As for the faculty, 85% are permanent. As for the quality of faculty, everyone will have a different view. According to my friends at CUSAT, the only difference you will find between the branches is that the EC people toil 3 times harder than the other branches. According to the overall placement statistics the average and highest CTC offered to the students is 4 LPA and 15 LPA. You should choose the branch that is better for you. Think about the branch where your interest lies, will you be able to manage the workload efficiently, does the subject interest you, or which branch has the better placements matter. However, I would like to advise you not to be bothered by placements any more.

How is the IT branch in CUSAT and CUCEK?

In Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) engineering is offered by SOE (Kochi) whereas in CUCEK engineering is offered by (Alappuzha). Having friends studying in both the colleges, I can say that they are equally good. When it comes to the IT sector CUSAT introduced IT in India and is considered a pioneer for the IT sector. The IT branch is well facilitated in both CUCEK and SOE and is considered a good course to opt for here. Both the institutes are well established and have created a name for them. Faculties in both are well trained with a lot of experience. Both of them have world-class labs with the latest equipment and technologies to equip students with the latest inventions. Placements are also good for IT. Mostly they get placed in the southern region of the country like in Bangalore, Hyderabad and etc with good packages. Fees and Financial Aid:

There are three quotas ,state merit,all india merit and NRI .For state merit it is close to 50k,all india 100k,nri 120k,I am a all india quota student.SC,ST students doesn't need to pay fees,other than the above mentioned fees we must pay close to 5k every year as pta fees and 3k every sem as exam fees.There are many scholarships available,especially for state merit students under egrantz provided by kerala government

Cusat IT student

I m having claim from govt(SC category). Therefore it is very affordable. Otherwise the fee will go upto 50k to 70k for one semester (State merit) and 80k to 100k (All India merit). It will be a little difficult with any scholarships.

The fees structure is not acceptable.atleast they can provide hostel fees.

The fees structure is mainly based on category based on rank.the better rank holders in cusat exam will get an state category which is about 25000 for sem (6 months) and spot admission students have to pay about 45000 per sem(6 months).I have paid 45000 for sem.for sc/st category they have to pay about only 400 per sem. there will be some scholarships for students in OBC category based on their income.

Nice college

I paid 40000/- as course fees.Other than that there are various other fees which include caution fee, registration fee, development fees,lab fees and other compulsory charges which came to a total amount of 60000 rupees The college provide many scholarship for OBC,SC/ST,and single child girls

So there are mainly two different types of seat you can acquire in cochin university. All india merit and state merit. A student alloted to all india merit will have a fees of 55000 rupees per sem. And the state merit will have 23500 rupees per sem. I am studying as a state merited student. Other than these two , there is nri seat , and various other according to your reservations. This admission process is entirely based on cusat cat exam rank. Those who got great ranks will be alloted to state merit and so on. based on reservations fee structure will be different entirely.there are even reservations for students whose father is a gulf resident,or a student whose father works as a fisherman.

“Cusat” the students choice

The year wise fee is 3 lakh for 4 years.the tuition fee for per sem is 32000 .The admission fee is 1500 for sc students and for general students is 5000.there is so many scholarships and financialaid that available for students

CUSAT Cochin campus- best college life you can get in kerala

I pay 56000 per year in fees which is the fees for students in state merit category. All india category comes to around 90000 and NRI category is 1.2 lakhs. There are scholarships available mostly on the basis of reservations not merit.

Oru fee structure is based on semester wise for each semester for all india merit it is 48,000 and for state merit it is of 28,000 .Therefore for one year it is nearly about 1lak and 50 thousand respectively

Cusat-My life changing decision

I am from sc category. So i have reservations,I don't have to pay any fee during my entire course.I only have to pay 1500 as joining fee.In general category students state merit students have to pay 30570? and all India merit students have to pay 53180?. There is plenty of scholarship in our college.For all category students.

College has comparatively higher fees than other govt colleges in kerala

32,140 per semester is the amount you have to pay if you got admission in this college in state merit seats ,if you're alloted in all india merit seats then you have to pay 55,000 per semester . I think there is a pta fund which will be around 5000 it's a one time payment.there are various scholarships for Kerala sc/st/obh students they get nearly 100% fee reduction including hostel fee via a scholarship called e grantz. Which is provided by Kerala government.
