- The faculty of Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University is really kind and helpful. They try their best to help the students by guiding them throughly.
- They provide sources for doing certification. Regular seminars are held for career guidance.
- Discipline is maintained properly. Strict disciplinary actions are taken if anyone is held responsible for any misbehaviour.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure of the University is really poor. The washrooms are untidy, the desks designed as if they are for a 5 year old.
- Libraries don't have comfortable chairs and have unnecessary restrictions like you can't bring books from the book bank in the library.
- Wi-Fi is not available in the university and the place where the university is situated does not have any network.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course B.Tech CSE is relevant to almost every place I go which influenced me to choose this course. Our university tries it's best to expose students to the real-world problems and influences us to create a solution for the problems.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys and other known companies visit the university for placements and a student can sit for any number of placements. Average package is about 5-6 lakhs per annum and the highest package is about 28 lakhs per annum. About 30-40% students gets placed based on their skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
You get scholarship during admissions and it will continue so if you don't get any back or get debarred i.e. maintain your attendance above 75%. If you fail the above given criteria your scholarships will fall. The overall fee is around 150000 per annum including academics, annual charges and examination fee. Placements are given according to the skills of the students.
Campus Life
Almost all the books required are available in the university and there is a huge annual fest better known as PINAK which is overall a great fest as they call known celebrities. Cleanliness drives are organised time to time. Clubs fall very limited. Sports fest for welcoming freshers is there. Also a sports fest for all is there.
Admission
There is no such eligibility criteria in Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University but scoring more than 70% in 12th board examinations offers a good amount of scholarship. The application info along with the forms and date can be obtained easily by contacting on the number given in the university website. The frequency of exam is like 2-3 months if we talk about the mid sem examination and the end sem examinations. SGPA is totally based on the individual's overall performance. There are no such areas to improve.
