The ACCA course at symbiosis college of arts and commerce is a standout choice for all the students who want to build their career in finance like myself. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it help the students to put their practical skills and theoritical knowledge in real life. I chose this course because of it's dynamic syllabus that covers all the finance and investment topics which is highly in demand in the finance field. I think that this curriculum can include more hands on projects. And adjusting the timings and the frequency of the exams throughout the semester can reduce stress and faciliates more deeper understanding of the concepts.

Symbiosis college provide various internship opportunities providing the students with the real world experience and network building. Like every year EY company launches it's business plan competition where students have to think about a business idea and it also offers the winner, the price of ?100000 and 1 year of internship. Similarly, Deloitte also offers internship in various fields like audit, consulting, and financial advisory with a satisfactory amount of stipend. TCS mainly offers internships in the areas like software development, digital marketing and business analytics providing students with valuable industry exposure. Interns engage in various projects like market research, financial modelling etc. Also the interns develop various skills which will further help them in their career.

The college has a very good on campus placement opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Along with the placements, it also offers a lot of exposure to make a student market ready. Recently the highest package offered is of 22 LPA, and the average package is around 6 to 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, EY, Deutsche Bank, Honeybell, Northern trust and career dose, Tresvista, Infosys etc. More than 90% of the students get placed from the college itself. Also students can apply for off campus jobs also. If i say about my plans then, currently I'm doing bcom with ACCA and I'm planing to go either for M.sc (Accounting and finance) from Oxford University or CFA.

The campus life at symbiosis college is amazing. However the campus is quite small and sometimes overcrowded and decent but then also life at symbiosis college is full of fun. There are various events that take place every year like "symagine" held around the march month, "Indradhanu" held around the month of February, "MUN" held around starting of march month and various other. There are various clubs as well in college to encourage students to show their talents and help them to grow further. Like the cultural club, the centre for innovation and entrepreneurship, the debate club SEDA, and the sports club where students can excel in a variety of sports. The club also organises various training sessions. In college we do have a wi-fi available throughout the day, a large library with an extensive collection of books, in terms of accomodation the hostel maintains good hygiene standards, in classrooms also proper fans and smart board facility is also there.

The admission criteria in symbiosis college is mainly on the merit basis. Total 5 to 6 lists are generated on the basis of your 12th percentage and then you can fill their admission form which is displayed in their admission portal on their official site. The application fees is fixed which is around ?1500 (have to be paid once all the details of the adm. Form is filled). The form opens around june 1st week. After completing this process you have to appear in college for physical verification along with all the required documents. The exams are conducted generally in November and in april which i think is convenient for students as per the difficulty level. However, like any process, there are areas of improvement, so i think that in the admission process of symbiosis college they should inform the students 1 week prior about the physical verification because there are many students who live in various corners of the country and its not possible for them to appear within 2 or 3 days.
