Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well designed according to future needs of the society .The course also focuses on environtal happenings as there is a subject named as environmental science and engineering which focuses on environoment degradation. some improvemement is required as there is need of inclusion of some emerging technologies subjects like AI,ML, etc. The copuse should be designed to gain knowledge not marks only.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that come for placement, also come for internships and take students after different test rounds. There are research internships also available in college under respective professors in respective fields. We can also apply for research internships in different IITs and NITs. some internships are DRDO, JP Bose, ONGC, BEL, etc.
Placement Experience
Right not ,the placement scenerio is very good in college. Last year ,highest package was 80 lakh per annum and average package was 16 lakh per annum and of my branch average package was 18 lakhs per annum.The top companies such as amazon, atlassion, facebook, myntra etc. visit our campus to give on campus placement and internship. my plan is to take on campus placemnt after getting degree
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure includes tuiton fee and some basic fees such as transportation, internet, library, mess establishment, caution etc. For students having their family income less than 1 lakh have to pay only basic fee which is rs. 10000 per semester and their tution fee is zero. The accomodation is free ,only have to pay mess fee whcih is 20000 rupees per semester. the fee for a student having income above 5 lakhs have to payt 120000 rupees per semester. the fee is very affordable for a needy student. The scholarship is only given on income criteria.
Campus Life
There are many clubs formed in college which focuses on different aspects such as coding ,sports, music, social , dance ,etc. There are organisation such as think india organisation which emphasis on social connection with the societies. There are different festivals are also celebrated in college of all regioins such as south,assamese,benagali, bihari festivals.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well maintained but the quality of food is not good but there are canteens available where we can buy food and have it. The hostel fee is very affordable as it is only 20000 rupees per semester. There are 2 students in a room in 1st year,3 in 2nd year,2 in 3rd year, and 1 in 4th year. The room is equipped with good internet connectivity.
Admission
The admission in this college is done on the basis of the rank of the student achieved in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains which is done through JOSAA counseling in their portal. Initially, all the things are done in online mode, required notices and forms can be found in www.nits.ac.in site. Later on, it is done offline in the college itself.
Faculty
Each and every faculty present here holds a phd degree with a good amount of exposure at teaching. Many of them are from reputed colleges like IITs, NITs, etc. They are not only teachers but also do research in their respective fields and have given many thesis. The teacher-to-student ratio is around 80 in a class but they may not be much approachable at times.
