Course Curriculum Overview
The course is the same in the first year of the college like many of the other colleges in the country for all the branches but one moves to their core curriculum once the student gets into the second year of the college. The curriculum is well structured in the interest of the students to perform well in their following careers providing industrial exposure and knowledge that will be mostly in our professional careers later.
Internships Opportunities
The training & placement cell is the heart and core for the internship opportunities also there are many opportunities under professors to get your internships done because it is mandatory to have an internship or industrial training experience based on which the student will be awarded 2 credits in the final year.
Placement Experience
This year placements have not been up to the mark due to the market scenarios. the obvious recession and the downfall in the IT industry but compared to colleges I would still say our college is in a better place compared to others colleges with an average package of around 14 LPA and with a placed student percentage of about 75% of the students who registered for the placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since our college is a public college the fees are fairly reasonable. There are three categories in which the students with a family income of more than 5 lakhs per annum pay the full fee. students with a family income between 1 to 5 lakhs pay 30% of the fees and students with a family income less than 1 lakh pay no tution fee and only a minimal fee for internet health insurance etc. There are also some scholarships available like NSP, FFE etc. One can't take any on-campus jobs but can still earn money by freelancing etc
Campus Life
In our college, we have two major fests. One is a cultural fest namely Incandescence and the other is a tech fest named Technoesis. We are allowed to borrow 5 books from the library at max in a month. We have a lot of clubs and organisations in our college for various purposes, e.g Coding club, GDSC etc. The labs are equipped with okayish equipment and are good.
Hostel Facilities
Only disadvatage in the college I would say but once you get adusted to it trust me you are gonna make memories those you gonna cherish for a life time but the thing that keeps everyone pissing off is the food it is ot that great but 4 days chicken, a day fish and a day egg in a week is not that bad i guess.
Admission
The only way to get into the college if you're an Indian student is by JEE Mains. I am in electronics and communication engineering from general another state, My rank was 14604 in JEE mains mine was the opening rank for our branch so one can get a basic idea from this. There are reservations for OBC, SC, ST, PWD, and girls. Foreign students can get admitted by DASA. The admission process was quite clean where our documents were verified and we got our scholar IDs.
Faculty
All the faculty's have doctorates from the most prestigious colleges in the country like IITs in their respective fields so one can say that the faculty are well qualified to teach in an institution likr ours, The faculty to studetn ratio is like about 1:45 so it's not that bad to be honest. We can contact the profs whenever we need in their cabins and their TAs are there for the other needs.
