What Students Say
Likes
- The very first thing I liked about my campus was its lush green campus
- The next thing was the culture in clubs and societies which was very good.
- One most important thing I liked was that I had various options to live my college life.
Dislikes
- The internet issue in the H10 hostel, they should provide lan in this hostel too.
- Mess food is also not good in the H10 hostel.
- Also, I want to state one more thing about its academics is they don't provide flexibility while providing options wrt elective subjects.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because at that time, there was high demand in IT industry. Faculy to student ratio is 1:20. Most of the faculties are PHD scholars. The teaching method is just good of the faculties. There are 2 Mid semester exams and 1 End semester examinations. The frequency of exams is high and whole semester is hectic.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, the students gets the opportunity for campus placements. Top recruiters includes Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce, American Express, etc. Highest package: 44 lpa and Average Package: 18 LPA(Information Technology) Major recruiting profile was SDE. Placement percentage: Nearly 90% I am planning to get campus placement in the SDE role itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees don't hike easily like there is no policy to hike the fees progressively. The semester fees is around 84000, and there is a fee waiver policy as well. Anyone having a valid income certificate, with income <1lpa can awail 100% tuition fee waiver, with income ranging between 1-5 lpa can awail 67% of the waiver in tuition fees. All the SC/ST and PWD candidates don't need to pay tuition fees.
Campus Life
The cultural fest is confluence and held in the month of october and the technical fest is Techspardha which helds in the month of March/April. There are diversity of books available in the Library. Also there is a book bank from which we can issue the books for semester long. Sports facilities are Badminton courts, tennis courts, cricket pitches, hockey grounds, etc. Social groups includes NSS, rooh, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There is a 3 seater room provided for 1st year students and from 2nd year onwards, 1 seater room is provided. There is one single bed, one chair, one table, one Almirah, Lan port/Wifi, etc. provided in the room with attached balcony. Mess quality is not good in H10 hostel, all other hostel provides good taste foor and with good hygiene. The hostel and mess are very affordable. There are many PGs available outside NIT campus, Kirmich road you can rent easily. But hostel life is very much better than renting a PG.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is qualifying 12th board exams and the JEE mains result is also considered. The application form for JEE mains is on jeemain.nta.nic.in Application fees depends on year to year around 650-700 and application dates can be seen on JEE mains website itself. There is a reservation for DASA, EWS, OBC, SC/ST and PWD candidates
Faculty
The faculty members here are very much qualified. Like the professors who teach any subject are all PHD qualified. Also, they have good experience in research and teaching as well. Some of them are very supportive but few are not and they just expect that we rote learn and study only for grades.
Other Applied Colleges
Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
