Course Curriculum Overview

4

The first thing that grasped my attention for this college for it being autonomous and next were the mentors. We have practical as well as class room discussions as my course is not purely practical neither it is just discussion based, so yes the method was hybrid. We had 4 lectures per subject in one week and for mathematics or some mathematical or hard practical subjects we used to have even 5 lectures or extra lectures.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college has a tie-up with internshala as well as companies to provide internships. We have a famous fest known Origin, where every department come up with there projects, the entries from any department can be unlimited, they are graded upon that.

Placement Experience

4

As I was in a three year course, we were eligible in the third year for the placement process. There are many companies that visit our college, if I have to name a few - ICICI, Quantiphi, etc. We have strict placement rules for every eligible student.

Fees and Financial Aid

India doesn't have campus employment culture so that was out of the question but we were allowed to do part time and our requests for the same were always considered. A student can do internships or part time gigs for their improvement.

Campus Life

4

Our college is quite famous for its known known fest - Tarangan. So, extra curricular activities are in our atmosphere. There are many clubs for students to get in which all are under student council mostly.

Admission

After results it's a very easy process, a smooth process as everything is mentioned on the website by the college itself. The eligibility, the course fee, etc. There are reservation benefits according to the norms of government as well as the college.

Faculty

4

The faculty -to-student is per teacher 15-20 students. We have assistant mentors and head mentors for the whole class of 74 students. We can interact with teachers whenever we require and the thing is they are quite approachable for all our worries and not just out teachers but our HOD too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
