Remarks

A good college if you want to enjoy 4 years in such a beautiful environment. But if you're thinking of getting into big placement or doing some research then it is not the right place. College Fees is increasing year by year and it's not worth spending so much here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course Curriculum & Exam Structure is much like any other private engineering colleges in Country. Exam Structure - there are two exams in a semester one midterm(less weight) and one end-term(more weight), quizzes(carries 5% of weight), 3 class test and one final and internal Lab exams according in content with the subject. There is a compulsion to secure at least 30% marks in End Term Exam.

Placement Experience

3

1. Placement in colleges is quite good if you are from CS/IT branch. 2. Almost everyone gets placed with a minimum package of 3.5 Lpa on some mass recruiters. 3. Few get placed in package > 9LPA on some few companies and some more than that get a fair package of 4-8LPA.

College Events

3.5

Youthopia - Cultural and Technical Event of College. Good for Partying for 3 days. SCTS Conference - Good to get listen to some brilliant personalities of the country. And there used to happens various guest lecture from good dignified and knowledgable persons.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Department of Engineering Fee Structure All India Quota - 1st year - 2.14Lakhs 2nd year - 2.23Lakhs 3rd year - 2.60Lakhs 4th year - 2.58Lakhs State(UK) Quota 1st year - 1.72Lakhs 2nd year - 1.78Lakhs 3rd year - 2.10Lakhs 4th year - 2.06Lakhs Hostel Fees - 1.10Lakhs to 1.50 Lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for Education Loan: College does provide scholarship but it is too less or I can say fraud. You'll be given some 10-30% off on your semester fees on behalf of your JEE score and if you score more than 9 CGPA in the later semesters you will get the same.

Campus Life

4

Campus Life is amazing, lots of students come here because of its environment. In Dehradun, it is located just 9Km from Mussoorie so you can Imagine the scene. The gender ratio is like you can get 350/1000 Girls. There is no big ground so don't think much of field sports much, but basketball and badminton court are available. Cultural and Technical take place around the year but not are of good standards.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Networks is quite big as its been more than 2 decades of its college. I know a lot of Seniors working in India and abroad. working for companies ranging from Amazon, IBM, HP, Adobe, Infosys.

Admission

Getting Admission in DIT is not that tough, but it requires good marks like more than 70% or more than 70 marks to get a Computer Science Engineering Branch. Else you can get any other branch. College is only good at its CS/IT, Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering. I took part in on-campus counselling in Dehradun.

Faculty

2.5

Most of the faculty is bogus. New Fresh Post Graduates from NITs or Private Colleges, who are still struggling for government jobs. Only a few are with good knowledge of the subject. College calls some coaching institute faculty for teaching some industry related subjects and for placement preparations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
