Course Curriculum Overview
the curriculum is is well balanced.although like most of the college ,the curriculum is not that benificial for real life rather it gives the necessary knowledge which will be needed for real life problems. It will me more benificial,if students get to know how to apply the things they are learning by practicing more instead of studying theory.moreover they should add other skill enhanching courses which are needed in job life. But I think most of the colleges have the same curriculum and method. The exams are conducted frequently, but you get enough time to prepare before that.mid sem Exams are conducted usually After 1 and 1/2 or 2 months from starting of the semester. After that lab exams and minor tests are conducted along with the classes. After completion of those the End sem is conducted. The difficulty of paper varies subject to subject.most of the papers are or moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
The college provide many internship programs: Satyendra nath Bose Internship project. Digital India internship scheme 6 week summer Internship at VLSI etc. the companies which offer internship to students varies year to year.thorugh TnP provides opportunities You have to search on internet for internship by your own for better outcome.

Admission
Student who want to take admission at NIT SIlchar for B.Tech must clear JEE mains and the cut off percentile to get a seat at this college varies with time.although i guess above 98 to 99%ile is a safe score for all the categories(in case you don't have any quota). If your have homestate quota 95 %ile is safe .Along with that if your have caste quota the cutoff will be a little bit lower. JEE mains are conducted 2 times a year( one around january, other around april) For more info about this exam you can check NTA official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in
Faculty
Faculty is well qualified with years of experience. They know how to make things better understandable very well. There are enough faculty members for each classroom and lab.Although it is obvious in any college that some teachers' lectures are not easily understandable (not a big issue, other resourses are there) .Student-teacher interacion is quite good and most of the teachers (specially the young members) work really hard for the students.A student can approach to a teacher 1. after the class 2. trough the Class Representive 3.by going to his/her chamber.
