It's an open schooling so you can work and graduate together
There's no need for attendance or showing up for assignments
The assignments are also submitted online

Dislikes

The datesheets and admit cards take a lot of time to update

As I said previously there is not special curriculum provided in open schools The students have to prepare themselves and give the exams The semester exams happen every six month and the internals one month before that

No there are no employment facilities available here Students have to give interviews and get a job themselves after the graduation or side by side The cost is around 8000 which depends on the courses respectively

Campus Life

My overall experience was 5 on a scale of 10 because of some inconveniences that can happen during the registration and semesters The admit cards , results, datesheets are not updated soon enough The books are available from the main building of SOL You can interact with the students online on WhatsApp

No entrance exam needed for open schools You just need to go to a cyber cafe or maybe do it yourself on a computer and fill out the form of whichever course you are interested in and that's all The fees is also submitted online

Faculty

There is no faculty involved in these kind of educations Ofcourse the online classes are provided for the ones in need The assignments are given and submitted online and the internals are also held online

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
