The curriculum and overall course is relevant and important to the career perspective. My decision to choose this course is influenced by the growing opportunities in the field of Computer Science. The curriculum provides real world application knowledge and help develop our skills in the particular field. Although most of the subjects are relevant and important to the career perspective but some elective subjects like Indian Constitution, Linguistics, etc. The teaching methods can be improved by focusing on student teacher interactions which helps in making it easier to learn. In a semester the Mid Term examinations are held during the semester with 2 hour duration and hard difficulty level. The End Term Examinations have 3 hour duration and hard difficulty level.

The placements in college are satisfactory. However this year(23-24), the placement rate was low. The students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements from their 7th semester. The highest package is this year was 58 LPA. And the average package for last year was 7.5- 10 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, Cognizant, IBM, etc. More than 350 recruiters visited this year with 1300+ offers. Last year the placement percentage was approximately 95%. My plans after the completion of my course is to look for better placement opportunities and also prepare for higher education.

The overall tution fees for one semester is 1,62,000 for BTechCSE. The fee does not increase in the duration of the course. There college does provide scholarships based on domicile or merit and other additional scholarships. In the first year you can claim 50% scholarship on this fees if you achieved more than 90% in 12th boards and lesser scholarships based on the lower merits. You can also claim domicile scholarship of 26% if you have a domicile of Uttarakhand. You can only get either domicile scholarship or merit scholarship. There are additional scholarships like single mother, girl child, sports related, those whose parents are in Army, etc. After first year the merit scholarship is provided to the top 10% of the particular course based on their CGPA. top 3% are provided with 30% scholarship on tution fees .

The overall experience with the campus life is average. The college does not host a lot of fests. Other than the annual TechnoCultural Fest- Youthopia , and the Sports fest, Sphurti there are no such major fests in the college. The 3-day College fest (Youthopia) is help in the month of October or November. The Sports Fest Sphurti is organised in the month of March. The college provides a wide range of books in the libraries. The main library of the college is in the Vedanta block which provides various courses related or other books. Moreover, there are multiple student-run social clubs in the campus which organize various activities and workshops.

The college provides one hostel for the girls which is called Kasturba hostel. And there are 4 hostels for boys- Raman, Bose, Sarabhai, Bhabha. The first year boys are allocated in Sarabhai and Bhabha. The girls hostel is a 9 floored building and provides a mess, a canteen so, girls gym and walking area behind the building. There are triple sharing and single rooms. The first years students are only given Triple sharing rooms and the submit rooms are allotted on the basis of CGPA. The hostel provides 4 meals in a day. The quality of food degrades over the period of time since the start of the semester. The food quality is pretty average. There is a lot of restrictions in the girls hostel regarding the in time and outings. Girls are not even allowed to walk inside the college campus after 7 pm. Every year the hostel fee is increased by 10k. This year the hostel fee is increased from 1,29000 to 1,42,000. If you are not interested in hostel, there are many societies and pg in the locality

The students who opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Math in Secondary education are eligible for this course. It is not necessary to have computer science in 12th to get this course. In class faculty student ratio is 1- 60 approx. But most of the faculty is kind and generous. The teaching is overall good and the grading system is satisfactory. The faculties are well educated and and highly qualified. The student faculty interaction is also pretty satisfactory. The faculty mostly solves all the doubts.
