Going through my college:a college review

My course 'MOLECULAR MEDICINE' is a new course. In all India it's only there in Amrita. The curriculum have alot different branches related to research. Like genetics, biotechnology, cell biology, microbiology etc... the exams are pretty easy here. But a lot of the questions are application level. So we need to burn our heads in order to answer itt.

I am not that clear about internship here. The first batch of these course have just graduated. So I am not sure about that. They have never talked about any internship for us first years. We have have company called Merck in order to give us intership certificate. It's a reasearch based company.

As we are a department that is related with research we have lot of research based company in tied up. So campus placement is available. Sixth semster students or Hons students or pg can apply for campus placements.

The fees is like around 1 lakh per year. There aren't lot of scholarship for our department. Maybe because it is a new course. I am a 1st year student so campus employment has not started. It is actually there for PhD students and pg students. They can work in campus or in our department in their desired lab.

Campus Life is good. We have lots of clubs in here . So we can engage in lot of activities. Not only that our lab have lot of facilities that other foreign universities can not have. We have a large library. But books for department is less. Still it is good. We have arts and sports which is really entertaining. But we have limits in that as we are in a hospital campus. But still it's enjoyable.

I am not in my main hostel. As the main hostel is full. But still it's good. The facilities are really less. There is no self in our hostel and it is really difficult for two persons to stay there. In my room we have two people. We are adjusting to the core to stay there. Food here is also good. We can only get vegitarian food due to religious reasons. But it's good and healthy.

First we need to apply online for this course.Then there will an interview. One day our Dean will interview us and accordingly they will get admission. We need above 60 % in oru higher secondary education, unordered to get admission. Or else in orderd to get fees reduction you can write an exam. And according to your mark u will get reduction. Basically saying you will get scholarship.if u get selected by exam, still there will be an interview,ita the main process of admission

All my professors are PhD graduate and they researchers. In other words they scientists. But they never acted like one. All of them are really helpful and caring. The way the interact with the students are also really nice. They have small talks with us, they always make sure we are happy. Their teaching method is also really good. At first it was difficult for me to follow it. But later it easy.
