- The campus is very large and beautiful full of lakes and forest
- The climate of Silchar is something to be jealous of, the temperature doesn't go very high or low

- Location, though Silchar has an airport flights are only available in daytime that too only for Kolkata and guwahati and to reach Silchar in a train is quite exhausting if you are from outside of assam
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is decent. In the first year every students studies the same curriculum and from 2nd year students study their branch specific curriculum. If you want to pursue a career in instrumentation that I would say the curriculum is pretty decent. All the basics will be covered and you will have enough knowledge to start a career in this field
Placement Experience
Companies visit our college in 3rd year for internships and in 4th year for placements. A lot of companies visit our college for IT roles such as SDE and data analytics. The average percent placed and average package both are pretty decent if you want to know more you can visit the tnp page of our college on LinkedIn. If you want a career in the core field then that's also available. A lot of PSU visit our campus every year as well as core companies. EI branch is eligible and good option for both IT and core companies
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure are different depending upon your income and category. If you are a sc/St or your annual income is below 5 lakhs your fees will be around 30k-50k per semester. There is also scholarship provided by a lot of organisation that you can avail. This fees also includes the hostel and mess fees, the max that you will have to pay is 90k per sem for academics and hostel both included. Since it's a government college the fees don't increase that regularly. As for campus employment opportunities the only that I am aware of is doing an internship under a professor and if he is interested then he may pay you.
Campus Life
There are 2 main functions of our college which are tecnoesis( technical fest) and incandescence( cultural fest) where different artist comes for our entertainment. Our library is the biggest digital library in Asia you can borrow upto 5 books at the same time from the library. The classrooms are well equipped with projector and other devices to make teaching easier. A lot of sports are supported by our college, we have cricket, football, tennis and badminton court and many more. There are a lot of clubs in our college ranging from technical to cultural field all of which are run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Since this is a government hostel the hostel fees is very low. The rooms are decent but you may face some minor issues. Also you will have to share with others upto 3rd year of your college. In 4th yr you will have single rooms. In one room 2-3 people will stay depending upon your cgpa. This is only applicable for boys hostel. The mess food is okay not good not bad.
Admission
I took admission through josaa platform in this college. My percentile was around 97.8 and my branch was electronics and instrumentation. The admission process is pretty much online . Once you are allotted the college it will provide you with different forms. You just have to fill it and submit it in the office when you first come to the college. When you will first come there will be students in the counter to guide you
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is pretty decent and the college website provides the contact details of all the professors in the college so you can approach them at any moment. From 2nd year you study only about your branch and our branch professor are the best among other branches in terms of approachability and helping nature
