Course Curriculum Overview

Actually a not a big fan of this curticulum Its mostly book based hard to understand its applicable side. We have very less time to study for exams and there no time to cover all the topics for the exam the exams are very hard

Internship opportunities are available in our college i dont have a clear picture of internships and the companys who visited our college i know many seniors gets palced and many companies visits our college for interships and placements

Placement Experience

From 7 th semesters students areeligible for campus placements so many it companys have visited many students gets placed the percentage of students getting placed are increaseing year by year my plan is to get the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is low there is no hikes in the fee structure the complete cost of my education including tution fee is around 35000 there are variety of scholarships available like egrantz No i have not taken any campus employment

Campus Life

Our technical fest is called daksha yanthra Daksha is mostly culturals and yanthra, the tech fest. The are mostly held on even semesters there are a variety of books available in our library the class rooms are smart sports day is conducted annually there are a varity of sports there are many technical clubs and other clubs like NSS etc

Admission

Eligibility is you should need more than 50% in maths and science i took a entrance exam we can apply online for admission study leaves are very less the exams are super hard admission process is ok in my college

Faculty

Faculty a very good They are very efficient in teaching The srssions are very understandable The facult to student ratio is not a problem in our college There is no limitations to interact with faculties

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I did apply for many top colleges in Kerala but couldn't make the cutoff of those colleges This was the college were I first got confirmed admission at and it's really close to where I live...so I just took my admission here duo to that reason I had 20000 rank in the engineering entrance exam and easily got admission here Admission procedure solely depends on entrance rank and the top 60 get admission here even though in my course it's a virtual guarantee to get admission no matter how low your rank is because of the low student strength for the subject whereas it's harder to get seats in computer science because those seats get filled quick...Read More

College of engineering attingal

There is KEAM exam conducted by the kerala govt for entries to technical courses in kerala. The exam mainly focuses on physics, chemistry and mathematics and the paper is out of 600. The difficulty of the paper ranges from easy to difficult. After getting into the rank list there are 3 rounds of counselling that happens. Last year the cut-off were: Merit seats: 27K Management seats: 45K There are some seats reserved for SC, ST, OBC etc. The admission process was delayed very much last time due to which 6 months semester was completed in 3 months, that created great pressure on the students.
