Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it was needed for me to join my family business and my liking towards it as well. As far as the curriculum goes, it is the same for all pune university colleges including ours. Course curriculum could be a bit more practical based. Pune university exams are not properly scheduled (dates can change a week before exams too) in which the college cant help the students as it is in the hand of pune universty.
Internships Opportunities
The training and placement cell helps students in every possible way to get a desired internship. Internships are made complusory for every students as it helps the student progress excluding the study part of a course. Soft skill sessions are also made available for every course which are held twice a week.
Placement Experience
Campus placements in our college is pretty decent and many reputed companies like dassault systems, l&t, atlas copco and many more have picked students from our college. As off the year 2022-23, 385+ campus placements were offered which is a bit low that 2021-22 which had 530+.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fee for us general students is the lowest compared to any pune univeristy colleges which is approx 1,06,000 inr which includes all except extra curricular activities. Fees and scholarships depend on the caste you belong to and there is no such thing like scholarships and financial aid for general students
Campus Life
Social clubs of every kind can be found throughout the college. New clubs can be created byt the students with the help of the faculty if enough students are willing to join. Every engineering branch has its own students association which have their each own festival for the whole college excluding the annual college festival. Yearly college journal which gives us the insights on what all things happened in the past year is created byt the students and the faculty as well.
Admission
Admission process is done through the centralised admission process after the mhcet entrance exam. The cutoff for mechanical engineering is pretty low in every college but cutoffs for computer engineering and similar courses were high and can be found on the mhcet website. Admission process is very smooth and i had no difficulties during it.
Faculty
Faculty doesnt try to just complete the given portion but also tries to properly teach the students a given topic using various means like ppts, models, posters, etc. During the practicals, every student is given the chance to perform the given practical.
