Course Curriculum Overview

Our college follows CBME curriculum and they come under ACU University and they are not under RGUHS directly. They had 3 internals and one main exam for a year and all the internals has got basic eligibility criteria and students has to pass with the minimum marks to get eligible for the final exam.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 144426 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college provides 1 year internship after 4 and half years of MBBS course in our hospital and it has got a great hospital with sufficient number of patients and good qualified doctors and it has good learning ambience all around the hospital with well equipped OTs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees structure is- Government seat: 144246, Admission fees: 45000, Hostel fees: 88000, Miscellaneous fees: based on specific year. The college provides different scholarship facilities and it provides information to students about the government funds.

The college has got a great campus of around 80 to 90 acres approximately and it has hospital college hostel cafeteria and lounge everything in the same campus and the college Library has got great collection of books and collecting journals and it has different small groups for the well going of the management of the college.

Hostel facility is good and it has good rooms and mess facility. The rooms are accommodated with 3 students and it is well maintained as it is a new hostel and it has got good beds and wardrobes and college has got good food facilities.

Admission

The college admission is taken through NEET exam and counseling for this college is done through KEA Karnataka and it is conducted after the results of NEET. The basic eligibility criteria for the admission in this college is qualification in NEET exam.

The faculty members are very good and they are well qualified and has got good qualification. They are so helpful and approachable in the needy time and they are always willing to help us out. The way of teaching is so good and we can clear the concepts in the class itself.

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Exams are not that much tough, but still passing marks in mbbs course is 40% (cbme curriculum). Last year it was 50% passing marks. We have internals once in around 3 months and we have yearly final exams. The average of the three internals is added to the final marks to declare the results. The exams are of average difficulty. Not too difficult to pass.

Placement Experience:

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.

My college

I chose this college over others as the place where it is location is devoid of noise pollution or the city huzzel. As the college comes on the highway there is no honking or constant traffic like in the cities. But this is also a disadvantage as we students have to travel quite far for a day outing or for a movie theatre. Chat shops, photocopy stores are inside our campus itself. Admission process was all through KEA. After we write NEET exam based on our marks are eligibility criteria, preferance order and availability of seats colleges are awarded. For a gov and private seats students submitted the original documents to KEA office, where we receieved a letter which we submitted to the college for further admission processes...Read More

For my rank and marks in neet ug this was the college i got my rank was 1,37000 i got private seat in deemed college , i would have got sidhartha medical college in tumkur or sdm college in dharward for my marks and rank.
