- Campus is really beautiful and lush green. It feels like heaven in sprint when you saw lots of flowers around you.
- Campus life is socially very active. There is a good club culture of different fields. Student can join any club according to their interest
- Teaching method is also very good. There is a good balance of lectures, tutorials and practical In a week.
Dislikes
- Someone can easily be distracted from his/her goals. You have to be focused and have to ignore and have to stay away from such things.
- Some courses are very old and they keep teaching it by conventional methods.
- On campus placement and internships is not very easy. Only circuital branches have good number of offers.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course deals with the metals and their science. I honestly don't have any interest in it but I got this because of my JEE ranking. Yes, some students have interest in it and the practicals are very interesting in which we are taught real world applications of our course. Classes can be more interesting if professors want and exam pattern can be improved. There are two exams- mid term and end term in a semester at the gap of almost 2 months. Every course's paper pattern is different because professor have the freedom to design it in any way. Some professor keep it very simple and some make it compelx.
Internships Opportunities
Students can apply for on campus internship from third year. Companies have their crieteria and you have to match it to get the offer. There is a test and interview rounds depending upon the companies. But on campus internship are not easy to get so we also have to keep looking for off campus offers.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester student can apply for placement and from 5th semester student can apply for interships. There are lots of companies including software, finance, business, and many other fields. Percentage of students placed varies from branch to branch. It's very good for circuital branches where it is not so good for others.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no hike since I took admission in tuition fee. Total fee for four years costs around 12 lakhs. There are many scholarships based on family income, caste etc. Someone can easily apply for it and can avail it. On campus placement and internship are not very easy. We have to keep applying for off campus too. If you have good skills you can get off campus offers.
Campus Life
Campus life is amazing. It's full of memories and fun moments. Clubs culture is also good. Students can join any technical, cultural or sports club. There are lots of events keep happening in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
There are 8 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel. In first year I got triple sharing room, in second year there is a double sharing room and from third year onwards there is a single room. Meal is decent in every hostel.
Admission
JEE advanced exam need to be cracked to get admission. For that you have to clear JEE mains first. JEE main happene twice a year in which your best of two is considered and JEE advanced happens once a year.
Faculty
Faculty is highly qualified. Almost all of them are IIT or any other foreign university graduates. Faculty to student ratio is different for all branches as some have 40 students in a batch and some even have 150 students. Faculty's teaching style also varies. Some of them are very interactive and few of them don't care if someone is understand something or not. At last students have to do by on their own from other sources.
