Likes

Good infrastructure, labs and research opportunities
Course curriculum matches IIT and also designed ymake it easier for international admissions
All the professors are Phd and well read in the domain

Dislikes

Strict on hostel in and out timings and campus in and out.
Not very receptive to having a good fest and other events

Course Curriculum Overview

The course design and subjects are in line with the IITs. Course material is provided to study on your own. The course is also designed to make it easier for us to get admission to universities abroad. The exam pattern is pretty easy and easy to score.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 432000 per year

Internships Opportunities

25-30 companies visit for internships mostly for technical roles. Companies like JPMC DE shaw Samsung Apple are part of the process and stipend ranges from 40k to 1 lakh per month. Companies visit for 2 month internship as well as 6 months internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

Campus placements start in the 7th semester and internships Start from 5-6th semester. 200-250 companies visit the campus for placements and around 25-30 companies visit for internships. Placement process is pretty standard like the rest.

Fees and Financial Aid

Regular few is around 2.2 lakh per semester but there are regular scholarships given out to the top 10% on CGPA basis. Financial assistance is also available for students. Hostels are a bit expensive too around 80k per semester.

Campus Life

Campus is quite active in terms of events. Events keep happening throughout the year. Technical societies organize hackathon regularly and it's pretty fun to be a part of them.The library is one of the best and has every possible book you'll need. Sports culture is also pretty good with competitions happening from time to time.

Admission

Got admission through the boards score and cut off for COE was around 96. Application process is pretty standard and streamlined for students.Thwre is Punjab quota for Punjab citizens which has a lower cutoff than regular seats.

Faculty

All the professors are atleast PhD and very well read in their domain. Teaching assistants also are very good. If you ask you'll be provided with research opportunities and also get published. Teachers are easily approachable after classes.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

An honest Insight of my college LPU

Placement Experience:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. inside campus walls

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
