Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course provides Economics and Office Management and Sectorial Practices combination, the office management and Sectorial Practices or OMSP is a new subject which is added in New Education Policy (NEP) and i found both of the subjects really interesting and hard so i chose this course as economics is a really good subject and has a lot of scope. The economics subject is a very challenging and interesting subject it teaches all the economic indicators which the economy policymakers use to make certain policies to implement in the country and to improve the standard living of the people. The improvement area is in OMSP subject as after 2 semesters the office related subject turns into stenography which is a completely different subject and i didn't know that this subject would change into stenography after second semester otherwise i wouldn't have opted for it. Course should highlight or change its name in the start and not after second semester, this was really misleading.

Fees and Financial Aid

Before the tution fee increase, the delhi university was used to be a cheap place for a value education but as the fee is increasing many parents are not able to afford it too which is very worrying thing, before the increament the fee was i guess 10,000 or less and now it's 13000 or more depending upon college to college The complete cost of the course should be around 40,000 to 55,000 including everything. Till now there is no campus placement i have undertook as right now i have just completed my second year of the college but there is satyawati college placement cells which provides the opportunity for campus placement and other job opportunities, responsibilities, and the stipends, etc. Overall the university of Delhi's education cost, fee, etc is still very less than the other private institutions which is a plus point.

Campus Life

3.5

Honestly till now I haven't attended any single fest etc. as I don't have many friends with whom i can go and I don't like to attend these fests etc. The experience of students in Delhi University is mixed. Some first-year outstation students find it difficult to adjust away from their home. They miss their families but with coming years they become habitual with the food, culture, and the city life. Many students find the North campus of DU much more enjoyable than the other regions campus. DU is a hub of star-studded performances, competitions, and several cultural events. Overall according to the university is rated 4/5. For sports the college provides kabaddi, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc. students can apply for them and play for their college

Admission

Eligibility criteria was through CUET or common university entrance test To be eligible for the CUET Exam, aspiring candidates must secure at least 50% marks in their Class 12 from any recognized board. Students appearing for their Class 12 exams can also apply for the CUET exam. The CUET exam follows the same reservation policy as the one prescribed by the Government of India for reserved categories SC, ST, PwD, OBC, and EWS. To participate in the Delhi University admission process and grab a seat in any of the top colleges of DU, students need to have an excellent CUET score and perform well on Boards. After the CUET results are declared, candidates must register for the DU CSAS portal to participate in the DU UG admission counselling process. The system NTA created was very weird and troublesome as some of the students were not able to pay fees delays in other services locking of the courses and other website issues And during the examination as well there were many issues students

Faculty

3

Faculty is really educated and good teachers (all PhD in their subjects) and teaches the concept in the simplest ways possible, faculty to student ratio depends on the subject itself like students don't prefer to attend the optional subjects like Value addition course, Skill enhancement course, etc. but only attends continuous assessment or internal assessment classes. The overall faculty is really good, all the teachers are friendly and most of them are cool with students. Some of the teacher's Concept teaching is very good and easily understandable. We can often interact with teachers through text or call and in classes too but most of the classes generally get cancelled due to some issues.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
