Likes
- The campus and infrastructure is quite beautiful and lush green.

Dislikes
- Few teachers are a bit passive in their teaching style.
- Theres no seperate building for two of the seven departments engineering physics and material sciences
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite relevant in accordance with the growing need of material engineers and scientists. Each semester has 50% theory and 50% practical subjects so that we get a first hand experience of real world applications as well as preparations for masters in same.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester onwards are the students eligible to sit for campus placements . More than a 100 companies visited last year with around 800 job offers with highest package of 1.75 cr per annum and average of 8 lakh per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee has been consistent for the last few years . For the course itself the total fees comes around 6.5lakh in total ( excluding the hostel fees). Various scholarships are available for meritorious students as well as students from an economically weaker section.
Campus Life
Yearly there are three fests..namely Hillfair(Cultural Fest), Nimbus(Tech Fest), Lalkaar (Sports meet). More than 1 Lakh books are present in the library ranging from engineering to literature to journals . Overall the sports and extracurricular activities are in abundance. Multiple student clubs are active throughout the year conducting numerous events
Hostel Facilities
Hostels in the first year are conjusted as they were made as 3 seater hostels but have to fit in 4 students in the same room.. its quite tight. Hostel food is okayish the hostel registration is still not digitalised so thats something annoying. The location of room varies from beautiful to downright depressing as some rooms dont get any sunlight
Admission
Admission is through JEE Mains. The mains exam usually happens twice a year in the month of January and April having moderate difficulty. A student must be 12th pass with 75% and has total of three attemps in JEE Mains.
Faculty
All the teachers are Phd holders and hence are qualified enough to be professors but some of their teaching style is a bit passive. They focus more on theory and bookish stuff than the syllabi's dynamic approach and real world applications. Some on the other hand really love the subject they are teaching and do a great job.
