College with good values

The only bad thing in this college you can catch easily is there is no playground but you can access indoor game like carrom,table tennis etc.

You can say that this course in this college is perfect for your future and can go for research also. There is a lot of scope from GATE,PSU entrance exam. There are so many seniors of our college who are now in foreign countries for research. They were ranked 5th,14th,48th etc from the entrance exam.

Yes,there are some facilities of internship. But all the companies which are come for training programs or internship,are not giving stipend. One can only get the internship certificate which are must be important for his/her placement in any company.

We know the current situation of our placements in all companies, basically in private colleges.If you study the last 2-3 year placement report then you can't find too much students who are placed.But as a student of this college we are proud to say that there are 44 students who are placed in very nominate company like CIMPLEX,GAMON,L&T,DALMIYA CEMENT etc. till now. We hope to see that there will some more placement in this current year and in future we will also placed.

There have two types of fest in a year. One is Cultural fest(Advaya) and other is Technical fest(Paridhi). There have some active clubs like ROTARACT MSIT, MEGATRONIX,YUVA,SARGAM and the only departmental club SARGAM. Cultural fests are organised by members of YUVA club and Tech fest i.e, PARIDHI is organised by the members of club MEGATRONIX. PARIDHI is a national tech fest where a lot of colleges students are take part and there have a huge prize money. SARGAM is the only club for music. Rotaract is a international club. Among all colleges we are the top ROTARCT Club. These are some part of extracurricular activities.

At the time of admission there have to submit two draft of Rs.48000 and Rs.16000 respectively including the student's uniform and bag. And then approx Rs.43000 is the fees per semester. And if you are eligible for TFW catagory then you have to give the admission fees of Rs.36000 and Rs.16000 & then Rs.1250 per semester. And the others charge is the exam fees which is same for all MAKAUT students is Rs.1200. This fees is not much expensive if you considering the other private colleges fees.

I can't say about the scholarships as I get only one scholarship from the college. But there are some facilities of student loan which is so much useful for poor students. The college may consider some amount of fees if any student having serious issues during their course if he submit proper documents.

Basically Campus life of this college quite boring because there are no such place in the campus where you can spend your free time with friends and if you say about the gender ratio,then it is perfect. There are so many extracurricular activities programs which I have already mentioned earlier. Labs for civil engineering course is totally different from others lab and best lab of any private colleges under MAKAUT. Inter college Tech fest like Paridhi is held where a number of colleges take part from outer side and the prize money of this fest is big and the events like Robotics,coding, treasure hunt,chess,FIFA etc are held.

There is two hostels at a walking distance of 2 mins from college. The quality of food is not bad. Though I am not a hosteller,but I can say that the food quality and facilities are good enough. One is Sahara Hostel and the other is Bapi Day hostel.

There is a alumni group in our college where the alumni of even 2003 are present. So there are so many scope from the alumni for job. Many students have get their job through the alumni of this colleges. In this recent session some extra decision about alumni program has been taken. Some different groups are formed for the good connection with alumnis. Some teachers are effectively connected with this program like Soumya Roy sir,Tufan Dutta sir,Shek Hasim sir(HOD).

In a year there are 2 semester exams. Per semester they are conduct two unit test exam (below 75% attendence are not allowed for give these tests). After the 1st unit test exam there are some viva in corresponding labrotory subjects which are gives a general idea about the final semester exam viva.

After giving the entrance test I got the rank of approx 9000 and after the whole process of WBJEE I got the admission here. I was confirmed the college in 2nd councilling. Except WBJEE rank there is 15% seat from JEE MAIN exam. Some seats are available from the Management quota.

We are happy to say that we make our B.TECH course under the teachers of MSIT. They are all well qualified and knowledgeable. The great things is that when we face some problem regarding our study or our personal life they gave their best to help us. There have so many teachers like Shankar sir,Sanjoy Das Neogi sir,B.G sir,Tufan sir,Biswajit Thakur sir,Soumya sir and others who are directly connected to some big project of kolkata like metro construction, municipality work etc. So they have a brief knowledge about industrial work. With B.TECH course there have also M.TECH course in Geology. There have a lots of students who was make a great rank in GATE exam and study in abroad for our respective teacher's teaching.
