My college experience

My Overall experience has been amazing but the college management can improve in terms of punctuality as many processes get delayed over time, which I am sure is improving after each year.

Admission Criteria:85% because this university provides me with all the opportunities any other good organization could have in my own state.

Placements vary from branch to branch. For CS-IT placements are 100% with the average package being 4LPA and highest being 7LPA+. Over the years as the popularity of the college is growing more and more companies are hiring from SIT. In our year too, many companies have come for campus placements like Dell, Sokrati, Bombardier, HDFC, ValueLabs etc. As part of the internship, too many companies come to the college to hire interns for 6 months. I myself got to avail this opportunity by getting selected in Veritas Technologies LLC via the campus internship drive. Companies like Veritas, Symantec, Nutcracker, and various other startups came to our college to hire interns for 6 months.

There are so many events are celebrated in this college.

Yes, I have availed scholarship of 50% waiver in the academic fees. This is given to the branch topper of each branch after the result declaration.

Campus Life is highly active and energetic. There are various clubs like literature club, dance club etc. which provide a good social environment. The Labs are equipped with state of the art equipment and facilities. Sports facilities include the basketball court, volleyball court, football ground, cricket ground, swimming pool, gym, pool tables, carrom, Foosball etc.

Hostel fees are close to 1 lakh 40 thousand per annum which includes mess services, gym, and sports facilities and bus services to the city and back.

Seniors are the lifeline of the college as they provide us with necessary feedback and guidance. Regular sessions are organized with the seniors to guide us for our future endeavors and internship/placement guidance.

I got to know about the admission details of the college from a senior student whose parents were a family friend of ours. The admission process can be summarized in 3 steps: 1. giving the SET or Applying through JEE Mains score 2. Attending the counseling with proper documents which will be communicated through email 3. seat allocation based on the SET/JEE mains score Note: Students who do not get their preferred branch during the counseling session may apply for branch change on the counseling day itself. The branches are changed after a month or so depending on the number of seats left. Personally, I chose to SIT due to the following perks: 1. Getting the branch of my choice i.e. CSE 2. Amazing infrastructure and hostel facilities 3. Mentor-Mentee System between students and teachers 4. 6-month compulsory internship in 3rd Year (Offered by very few colleges)

The Faculty is very friendly and approachable at all times. Most of the faculty members have either completed their Ph.D. or are pursuing the same (CSIT Department). They encourage doubts and make sure they are cleared on the same or the next day itself. All students are assigned a mentor to consult in case of any problem during their stay at SIT.
