College management is quite good instead of being a government organisation things are not slow over here immediate actions are take over required issues. But the bad remark is that every thing over here is under management which sometimes suppress any protest very badly.

I choosed IIT Guwahati because it was among one of the old IIT's. Also according to my JEE Advanced rank i was getting Computer Science here .It has well developed infrastructure as well as culture. Also it is too close to nature. It has also very good placement records.

Course curriculum for new batches has been revised and improved according to the new requirements and skills that a engineer at current time should have. And about the curriculum which i am in is little old many things are of no use but you have to study them.Overall the trend over here is of mugging up for exams and to learn you have to apply your own extra effort curriculum will not help much.

Yes our college provide internship. There are on campus internship session organised for campus students and almost everyone from my branch got internship. And average stipend everyone got is around 50k but there are some getting stipend as high as 2lac/month. Also our college provide summer internship to outsiders to work on various project going on in campus.

Placement at IIT Guwahati is quite good. Almost 95% students of CSE department are placed in well-reputed companies. There were many students who went for their own start-ups. About 45 lac was the highest domestic package. The average salary offered to a CSE department student was about 20 lac. Many companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, Oracle have visited IIT Guwahati in the past and many other IT and consultancy companies also visited. Almost 60 out of 80 students from CSE department got an internship in different companies. Some students also cracked the GSOC. Some got an internship in Microsoft, some went abroad in big universities like mit, Oxford for internship and many went in different other colleges to do some projects in summer.

Fee structure is here based on parents annual income and there are no any extra charges you need to pay .Fee payment is required to be done each semester. Annual Income below 1 lac - No tuition fee Annual Income btn 1 lac to 5 lac - 33 % of tuition fee Annual Income above 5 lac - full tuition fee tution fee is currently 1 lac per semester

Yaa there are many scholarships provided by our college like the prestigious aditya brila scholarship is given to branch opener who compete to get it. Also Mcm(full tuition fee waiver) and many other scholarship are provided.

Campus life is too good over here its a very beautiful place to live and learn there are many clubs where you can develop your soft skill like robotics club, montage(photography) club , movie club, drama club and many more. I think there is no limit over here this institute will provide you all facility if you have some talent and you want to improve on it talent is always welcomed here it may be any field either acad or extra curricular.

Hostels are in quite good condition and its too beautiful place to live in. There is 24 by 7 water and electricity supply. Also each hotel its own mess which is prepaid and a canteen , a juice center and a stationary shop for basic requirements. Hostel mess is average breakfast is good ,lunch and dinner are not too well only edible.

There is a organisation within campus called Sail which works for student alumni interaction linkage they organize sessions with alumni's at regular interval . Also college has a wide range o alumni working in various fields.

Exam structure depends on the course instructor but every course has one midsem and one endsem examnations. The marks distribution, quizes and rest all depend on the course instructor. Papers are set by course instructor only so it is quite easy if you attend classes. Also number of students that will pass or passing marks all are decided by instructor.

So to get admission in IITG you need to first appear in JEE Mains. Top 1.5 lacs students then appear for JEE advanced and then according to your rank in JEE Advanced merit list you get seat in IIT's and NIT's through common counselling process conducted by Josaa .

The faculty members of IIT Guwahati are quite good. They have great knowledge about the course they teach. They have an answer to almost every doubt of the students. But all professors are not good, some teach very well but some do not. They have great knowledge about the course but they are not able to explain the concepts clearly to us. But some are quite good, they teach very well. The course curriculum is very good but in the first year, the students have to study each and every subject, not only their stream related stuff. Some courses are quite enjoyable but some are not. On a daily basis, we have a tutorial, three lectures and one lab session. They teach with the slides they bring which are prepared by the profs themselves. Slides are very useful study material. They provide it to us after every lecture.
