Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is fine. The labs equip us to understand the concepts but we will have to step out of campus and do internships to be able to face real world scenarios. The exams are pretty hard and keep that standard always. We have mid exams and end exams and internal assessments. Everything is appropriate enough
Internships Opportunities
I'm a second year student. My internship campus internship placement hasnt started yet. So I don't know much about the internship opportunities provided by our campus. A total of 3 students or so are only placed for internship from each branch
Placement Experience
From third year itself students are eligible for placements. Good enough placements are there for circuit and core branches. The average package is 10 lpa. The companies visited are Oracle, mercedes, Reliance, BPCL, etc. Highest salary package is 65lpa. This also varies yearly and according to branches. 80% of the students get placed in campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is according to the annual income slab of students. There are three slabs. Below one lakh , between one and five lakhs and above five lakhs. For annual income below one lakh no tution fees is imposed but exam fees, hostel fees, hostel establishment fees, etc are there .
Campus Life
The major fests conducted by the college are Ragam, cultural fest, and Tathva, technical fest. Both have high legacy and standards. Both are the biggest in south India. Tathva takes place in monsoon semester and Ragam in winter semester. Most of the books needed for the courses are available in our library and is Asia's largest library. Classrooms are good. But no air conditioners are not installed in all the classrooms. Our campus is active in sports as well as extra curricular activities. We have our own home teams such as mime, streat play, fashion show,etc.
Hostel Facilities
For first years one room is shared between 4 students, for second and third years one is shared between two students and for last year's one room for a single student. The facilities are average and good. Spacious enough. Quality varies according to messes but taste is pretty good. We have a total of 6 messes. Every mess has kept a fine standard. Hostel fees are much High. 15k establishment fees and 20k mess advance are imposed for a semester which consists of 4 months. Most of the students reside in the campus hostel itself. 100% accomodation is available .
Admission
The joint entrance exam (JEE) is the admission criteria. The students who secured above 80 %( for general) can apply for the examination. The cut off of the jee varies from year to year. Now it's 97% for general category
Faculty
We have hundreds of faculties and about 7000 students. Faculties are highly qualified but they lack the teaching skills. Teachers are like someone appointed to just take classes and leave. But are approachable if we are in need of something.
