A college is overall a good place for holistic development and one can enjoy the four years they spend here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is a little dated but essential to build the basics of what is required in the industry. We have project-based learning which gives us a hands-on experience of doing things. This experience helped me in the internship we are expected to pursue for an entire semester.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is satisfactory with almost 80% of the enrolled students being placed each year. The remaining are because they are not eligible either because of backlogs or not meeting the required criteria.
College Events
We have events being celebrated in the college all year round. Starting from republic day celebrations in January to Christmas in December. We have a cultural festival by the name of "REVERB" and apart from this, a technical festival organized individually by each department. With these, we have religious festivals being celebrated and organized by different communities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure for each year is divided into two installments. The tuition fees and hostel fees are to be paid separately and there is a provision for scholarships for people securing the first position in each department individually. The tuition fees for each year is around 2.5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
I opted for an education loan from Punjab National Bank and received a scholarship for securing the first position in my department.
Campus Life
The campus life is lively with people from different cultures and countries living together as a family. There are provisions for sports such as cricket, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc. Apart from these, there are various clubs which help garner to the different talents of the students.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is well established and former students keep coming for guest lectures and provide their inputs on what needs to be improved. The seniors are very helpful.
Admission
We were called by the Institute for counseling according to batches which were divided according to the marks obtained in the entrance test (SET). During the counseling session we were guided on how and what to do, where to go and what is the exact procedure. This was during the second week of June.
Faculty
The faculty is well experienced and a mixture of former industry persons and people from academia. The faculty engages students in an efficient and interesting manner which helps the students understand the concept better. With this, the college faculty can be approached at any time even beyond college hours.
