One of best engineering college in North India

College has excellent faculty and labs. But lack in hostel and ground since college is still under construction. In study wise it is very good with excellent library.

This is the best government engineering college in himachal Pradesh. The fee structure of this college is also less as compared to other engineering colleges in himachal.The college has execellent faclity. All practicals and lab work is done here with high professional lab technicians. College has all equipments in lab in working conditions.

The course is divided into 8 semester in 4 years.Each semester is as odd and even. Final exam is conducted in May and December. In each semester two times sessionals are conduted. Holidays are in month of June and July during even semester and in month of December for 15 days in odd semester.5 days mid semester break is also occurs.

No, college doesn't provide internship. Students has to go to industrial for getting internship. Students are free to go in any company. Textile department send there students to specified companies

The placement of electronics and textile department is excellent in college. Each year many students get placed in various companies with good package. Now the companies civil and mechanical engineering is also coming in the college. Students get package upto 25 lakhs.

College celebrates it's event known as twask each year. And a tech euip is also perfomed. Various tasks and games are performed during the event. The event continues for 2-3 days. Beside that college organises sports meet and other technical events. Various stages performances are done during the event.

Fee structure of this college is very feasible. It is least as compared to other engineering colleges in himachal. The per semester fees of college is around 30000 RS.And for girls it is around 13000 each semester. This fees also includes the examination fees for final exams.

Scholarships are available for students for there brilliance and poverty. Special scholarships for girls. All the scholarships are paids according to government site called epass. No special scholarships from college.

College has drawsback In case of ground. Since no ground available due to construction in college. College has well equipped labs. Extracurricular events are done during events only expect that no activities. Conference are also organised in college. Study is done through slides ie. projector mostly.

The hostel of engineering college is still under construction. Hostel for 300 students is under construction. This is the big drawback of this college. Students have to stay nearby pg's or take rooms. There are many pg's and rooms available nearby JNGEC on rent. Pg's rent is about 20000 RS for six months including food.

Senior students are co-operative. They will definitely help you in each possible way. No ragging registered in college. Still special anti ragging committee has been made.

Final exams are of 60 marks and 40 marks are given for internals i.e. assignments, assignments.total of 100.The paper is divided into 5 sections.four questions of 10 marks and one of 20 marks. 20 marks question is divided into 2 marks questions. 10 marks questions come from the 4 unit mentioned in syallabus. One question from each unit.

The faculty of each subjects is avaible here. All are highly qualified and appointed by qualifying net.There are best in there subjects. They are always ready to help students. But some faculty is now missing. College is trying fulfill there post. Even director and hod's of department are supportive.
