Best navy college

I haven't seen any bad thing about my college and it has numerous good things to mention about. The management is also very good and interactive and always helpful to the students. Its because of the management that our college is performing so well and college students are doing wonders.

I always wanted to become a navy officer and complete my nautical degree in an excellent college and my college was one of them. When I read about my college before admission i started wondering if i could get admission here,if i could clear my interview process and the entrance exams and fortunately i was selected. It is one of the top colleges in India for merchant navy degree. The campus is wonderful and magnificent. And the most important thing it has all the modern equipnents and technology to teach their students.

The course is of 3 years duration and in this duration we will get to learn everything about life at sea and what role do we have to play on ships. We not only study about ships but we also implement many good things like discipline,punctuality ,teamwork which is very essential in our daily life. This 3 years course will make you really tough for your future life and yes these years was fun and enjoyable.

No my college doesnt give internship. But during the course duration our college takes us for port visit in goa where we get well acquainted with ships and our work on ships. And in these 3 years we learn almost everything that we need to know before going on ships.

My college gives 100 percent placement assistance. It makes sure it has helped every cadet to sit for the campus interview and train them very well before going for an interview. Almost every cadet in my college is placed before the end of the course. And only those are left behind who have back logs or any bad record otherwise all are placed.

Our college always conducts persona fest every year for the refreshment of the cadets. The event is celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness and since it takes place once in every year all students put their hundred percent to give their best in their respective events like dance singing fashion show robotics treasure hunt and many many events. Even eminent personalities are being invited in every year to add charm to the event. Celebrities like jackie shroff buman irani sonali kulkarni suhani shah anup jalota amol wagh pankaj udaas have come to our college during these events. Sports events are also conducted every year for the marine cadets where students from other marine colleges come to participate in these sport events. Sport events like water polo swimming badminton football boxing rowing cricket are conducted during the sports meet.

The fee structure is feasible. Its around nine lakhs for three years duration which includes education accommodation fooding laundry library ship simulation and everything and compared to many navy colleges this fees is feasible and its really worth it.

Both scholarship and loan facilities are available by my college. There are different scholarship for respective fields like anyone who scored 90 Plus percentage in 12th standard and is consistently performing well in college exams will get scholarship and cadets who are good in sports or who have played well in their school life will get a cheque of certain amount.

My college provides a campus life that very few colleges in India can provide to their students. Since it is a navy college the boys are more in numbers but it gives equal opportunity to both boys and girls and rules are equally strict for both boys and girls. Talking about extracurricular activities - our college promotes sports activities and motivates students to take part in sports activities. Every morning and evening we have sports and games like rowing swimming waterpolo gymnasium etc. And our students more or less everytime come first in compared to other college students.

The hostel facilities is one of the striking feature of my college. The hostel is well maintained and every room has 3 beds with neat and clean bathrooms. The furniture is well furnished and each one is given their personal lockers and drawers for keeping their belongings. Talking about the mess food, its quality is very good and hygienic. They make sure that too much masala is not used while cooking because excess of masal is not good for marine cadets. We get breakfast lunch snacks and dinner. We also get late night snacks during our preparatory leaves. Hostel and mess facilities are brilliant.

The seniors in my college are as good as the faculty members. They are just like elder brothers and sisters and sometimes more than that. They are ever ready to help us and ragging is completely banned in my college. All seniors are respected and designated as sir/mam .

We have mid semester exams and end semester exams for every semester. The mid semester exams is of 30 marks and end semester exams is of 60 marks the remaining 10 marks is for internal assessment which is given by our professors. Passing marks is 60 percent for some subjects and 70 percent for professional subjects but its not very difficult to score 70 percent.

I appeared for the college entrance exam and after getting selected i was called for the interview and medical test. The entrance exam was little tough but with great focus and little efforts you can also clear it. The interview was conducted by the captains and chief engineers which was a little tough but it was fun answering their questions. Then we had our medical tests. The reports came by evening and the final list was put up.

The faculty of our college is excellent and brilliant and very very experienced in their work. All our faculty members are retired navy officers who have lifetime sailing experience and these are great learned men.Being excellent captains and chief engineers they are brilliant teachers and the work very hard to teach us and make sure that we understand everything.
