Heaven near to heaven

There are few bad but isn't it there with every college. But if I have to say one thing about it overall it will be that my college is an experience of a lifetime and having spent my days there I can't think of abyeer place to be again and would love to repeat my time if ever need to.

The college is near to my hometown. I heard reallygood reviews about it. It is a top government college in uttarakhand.It goes very high on Uttrakhand Technical University merit list. Has a very good and dedicated staff with almost all having doctorates degrees. It has a very nominal fees so not too much on parents pocket. With all this it has great ambience and good infrastructure

As per the requirement of the branches curriculum is apt and is output of years of experience in the field. The course curriculum is mainly decided as by Uttrakhand Technical University over which the college creates it's own subjectwise break up of the course by respective faculty heads and faculties.

My college does not provide internship. On the other hand timely assistance is provided for the students by training and placement cell which help students to find companies for internship.

The college believes more in education and excellence then placement. Not withstanding that the placement ratio of college is around 80% which is through all top notch companies in the field for any engineering college. Campus placement at our location is not that much as college being in hilly areas companies do not visit. Our training placement cell make arrangement for student stop go dehradun roorkee pantnagar and other places for placement.

There are many events that happens in my college. Primarily two of them are Going and Josh. These are like a festival. Goonj is a cultural fest which is in a span of almost a week. Have more than 40 contests and cadres of events. While Josh is a sports event and have some 30 field and games event in various categories.

The fees structure is less expensive on your pocket. This bieng a government college the fees are very nominal. For each semester you have to pay around 25000 rs as tuition fee and around 15000rs as mess fee. This make some 40000rs per semester. There is no charges for hostel and it is free but everyone has to compulsarily live inside even if they are localite. So in four years you pay less than 3.5 lacs to complete your engineering.

Scholarships are given as per government of India norms other than that to first 5 toppers of all branches of some 5000rs. I myself have availed same 2 times. Loan facility is not available being low fees and government college.

Campus is in a beautiful location where you can see the beautiful shrinagari valley in front of you surrounded by hills and Himalayas. It snows too once a year. And in winter's you are mostly above clouds. Feels like living in a heaven. Gender ratio is 70:30, labs are well equipped and avaliable for all branches. Sports competition and debates are part of curriculum for overall development. This in all makes our college a living Adobe of beauty with excellence.

The hostel gives single room to all in fourth year while for first year it is triple sharing and for second and this year it is double sharing. The buildings are pretty old as the college is itself very old. But timely renovation are done and new building are being made over time. All hostels have their own separate mess where you get all three times meal and two times tea.

The aluminium network is pretty strong our college website and Facebook and linkein keeps the students connected.

The exam are in a semseter system which have 5 subjects each semester . Semester is of six months and likewise there are eight smester so in total in four years you have to do some 40 subjects. Exams are both written and practical for each subjects with ratio of 70 is to 30 respectively.

After my Class XII board exams. I gave my AIEEE exam which is an all India exam in which merit list comes both in state and national level. Our college has 7 braches and some 350 seats to be filled for these braches. Counselling normally takes place in Dehradun and topmost branches gets filled under 1000 rank for Uttrakhand. 33% seats are reserved for frmale. Rest all quotas are same as per GOI rules.

The faculty of my college is extraordinarily good and have sound and depth knowledge in their subjects most of the professors have pursued their pH.d through college. Few even visited outside countries. Most have many IEEE paper printed on their name.
