Remarks

College management is a mess. Anything you want to get done will go from various processes. You'll be sent to different dept to get your application signed. Nobody is ready to take the responsibility. Hope it improves soon. Note : its the same in almost all the colleges. So not a big deal.

Entrance Preview

I opted for this college as it was near to my home. Usually all the students try to do this. We can easily get to college and home. Opting a college outside is a bit tedious work. We cannot go to our home during short vacations. So this is the main reason why opted this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

India is way behind other nations. So like other colleges the course curriculum is slow. For cse guys I can say the instead bof making them good coders they prepare them for research purposes which I feel isn't correct. Less exposure to coding world and more to research areas.

Internships Opportunities

College invites various companies for internship and all are paid ranging from 10k to 50k per month. In my 6th sem companies like Amazon, Yodlee etc visited for internship for 3rd year. And this sem optum(UHG) came for internship for 3rd year students.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are very good. Almost all the CS and IT guys get placed in tier 2 (5-8 lpa) by the end of the 4th year.if you're from other branches then you might get less exposure to companies. You have to be too good to grab the few opportunities. My friends from civil and mechanical are placed with a lpa of 6.5

College Events

3.5

There are very few events celebrated in college. You may find random events of singing or dancing competition in odd sems. In the even sem we have our fest. Scenarios are changing drastically. Many clubs have been formed and they conduct various seminar s and events time to time. Previously it wasn't good but now you'll feel that there is something going on everytime. You just have to be attentive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it comes under Government it is very feasible. Its around 60k per sem and the hostel accommodations are also very low. One can easily pay the fees when compared to other private institution. There are modes of payment. You can pay either by DD or online.

Fees and Financial Aid

It provides scholarship on the basis of CGPA and annual income and also your category. All the information you can get from the academic section.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is good. Make new friends and enjoy the evening and bunks. Gender ratio is improving. Many female students and professors are joining the college. Very rich in diversity. You'll find people from almost every state especially the south indians. It doesn't matter from which state you belong. We all stay and party together. No biasing. All are equal and we enjoy together.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The new hostel (Brahmaputra) is awesome for staying. Its a 10 floor building. All the facilities given here are superb. The bathrooms and washrooms are super awesome especially the showers. 5 charging spots in each room and a lan port. The mess is also good. You won't get home food feel but its good.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful in every way possible but in return you have to respect them. Very friendly and helpful . This is what I've learned and behave with my juniors. You can easily connect to any alumni . You just have to say them that you are from nitp and they'll be your best friend.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good. We have a mid sem exam of 20 marks A end sem of 70 marks And 2 class tests of 5 marks each. All the marks are then add up and respective grades are alloted. The procedure is decent and you won't face any kind of difficulty you just have to be prepared for the exams.

Admission

There's an entrance exam for this named JEE Main. After clearing the cut off you're eligible to sit for counseling in NITs. There are also other gftis where one can apply and take admissions. You can get the branches based on the rank you scored in the entrance exam.

Faculty

3

Due to very less time the faculties are not able to cover the whole syllabus properly. Also few of them being busy in various administration work don't take classes rather send there phd scholars and then the whole class gets messy. It is common in every college so not a new thing.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible to seat and apply for campus placements . Eligiblity criteria depends on companies but if you have 7 CGPA ir more than that then you don't need to worry . Companies like Godrej, ACC,CDAC, BHEL, Infosys, WIPRO ,TCS etc. visited our college for campus placements. Highest package from our college is around 13 Lakh Per Annum and average placement is 3 to 4 Lakh Per Annum Its totally depends upon companies and their job profiles. There are almost 60 to 70 percentage student got placement ( In upper branches like CSE& AI percentage is slightly high otherwise it is quite low for civil and our branches) My plans after getting a degree that is I have to go for M.Tech from any IITs of India I am preparing hard for that.

From 6th semster you are eligible to sit in campus placement . There is companies like Infosys , TCS , De Walls Ads , Wipro, Congnizent, ACC visited our college for campus placements . They have limited offers with limited packages also they have some eligiblity criterias like students should have CGPA above than 7.5 . Highest package offered in our college is 13 LPA per annum by TCS for a CSE student and Average package is around 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum. There is highest placements in branches like CSE ,EEE andCIVIL. Other branches got less offeres. Totally 50 to 60 percentage students got placements from our college because majority lower branch students are preparing for government exams like SSC , UPSC, BPSC , DAROGA and GATE. My plans after getting the degree to go for highes studies (M.TECH) .

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is companies like Wipro , Infosys, ACC, Copegimini, Congnizent, TCS visited our college for campus placements. There is very less number of offers given by companies and also there is almost negligible offers for Lower branches(like Mechanical and Civil) . There is highest 12.4 lakh per annum for a CSE student given by TCS and average salary of 4 LPA . There is only 50 to 60 percent students got placements in which majority are from CSE , CSE-AI , and EEE branches. My plans after getting the degree is doing M.tech from any reputed Colleges of India like some NITs or IITs depending to my Gate Score.
