I scored a 95.75% in my class XII board examinations. Delhi University was my first preference and due to my high score in my board exams I did not take any entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
Being an interdisciplinary course, the subjects are diverse giving us insight into various fields such as international polities, Indian business, psychology and advertising. This instills in us important quality of curiosity, which compels us to delve deeper into the subjects and propels us to explore and experiment with different fields.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, we can always approach the placement cell to provide us with internships. The usual companies are NDTV, Z news with a stipend of 2000-5000 per month.
Placement Experience
The fact that big media houses like Z news and NDTV recruit from our college speaks volumes. The ability to intern at these companies gives us the opportunity to get first hand knowledge of the kind of work that is required from us, the work culture and allows us to explore our future options as well.
College Events
Delhi University is known for its festivals, of which Kamla Nehru college's journalism departments fest - "Expressions" is one of the most famous. We have several Guest lecturers coming and sharing their expertise and experiences and various competitions such as movie making, movie analyzing, content writing etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is roughly 20k per year making it accessible to people from all stratas if society. This allows hardworking people with great potential with access to good quality education- even if they belong to economically weaker sections of society.

Hostel Facilities
I do not stay in the hostel however the food facilities are great. Kamla Nehru can boast about having one of the best canteens in all of Delhi University. Great dishes such as pasta, pao bhaji, rajma rice are all available at very cheap prices. The honey chilli Potatoes are a must try! Apart from that the college even has a Nescafe and coke kiosk to cater to the demands of all its students.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are very hospitable, approaching us themselves for anything that we require- be it books or assistance on college related activities. They always guide us towards whats best for us and are always open to queries.
Exam Structure
From time to time we have internal assessments which range from written examinations to oral presentations, group discussions, team activities and power point presentations. This keeps us on our toes and requires us to constantly work, research on important current and past events.
Faculty
The faculty is great. They not only concentrate on the academic front, but because they are from reputed media houses and are social activists themselves they constantly encourage us to make a niche for ourselves in this ever changing fast paced world.
