Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum didn't matter for me because I just completed my intermediate and entered into college but I say I liked the economic most than any other subjects so I felt its better for me if I choose the subject I like most so I joined the course and the curriculum is also good and helpful . Yeah the curriculum helped me to boost my interest in the further higher education I like microeconomics most and also the international trade which is taught by alka mam teachers also decide which subject the students like most by the way they teach so I liked and i thought of pursuing masters and then junior research fellowships in economics. I decided myself to settel in economics related posts. Usage of the digital to explain the practical things by showing some real world examples and beyond the curriculum i expect teachers to teach.Timings of exam is good reasonable time for 75 marks they used to give us 3hrs I think it is enough to write the paper of 75 marks the paper will be tough sometimes.

Placement Experience

4

Talking about the placement I can say from 2nd year that means the 4th sem completion students are eligible to apply for placements and write the exams the company conducts. And these placements gave somany opportunities for students to know how the hiring takes place and most of the students got placement with minimum package of 12lakh perannum. The highest average package for economics students is 17 lakh per annum and minimum is 6 lakh per annum. Almost 50 companies visited for the placement where the economics students are eligible for it. Most of the companies hired most of the students from economics department only. Most placement happened in economics department. It depends on the performance of the students in the placement their curricular Vita and the experience they had on the company internships etc. I planned not to sit in placement I thought doing my post graduation in economics from good reputed college then I also thought of doing junior research fellowship in economic

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a Centra university the fees that I paid is not much it's affordable. 1st year I paid 14160. 2nd year I paid 13000 around. 3rd year I paid 12000 around. And coming to the it's an yearly basis payment which is affordable. Caution fee is around rs 1500 to 3000 and some maintainance charges are also there. There is no need of any lab payment as I am an economics student there is no need of any lab requirement so there is no such thing . For SC ST categories they needed to pay but if their parents are not paying any income tax after the submission of affidavit and with due verification of the documents they are paid back their money .Special Financial Assistance is extended by the College to select students.Needy students should apply for the financial assistance which is provided by the college there are such scholarship based on merit which gives financial support to the students who are in need. Few students are financially assisted at time of admission by the college selection

Campus Life

4.5

The annula festival of the economics department is ARTHA where we celebrate we call aluminies and conduct seminars it goes for 3 days and there is a annula day celebration every year it will be like a festival in the college it looks like mela and we get holidays for it. And the month of April I can say it is a big month of festival every department will be having some fests in that months the college will be very colourful with the decoration and the colors happy faces joyful moments. I can say that living the moment it important I am missing my college now. Classroom are not well technically developed we will be having wooden benches to sit and the black board there is no projector availability. There are so many sports committees and my friends are part of it volleyball ets so many committees are ther efor the physical development and the sports. There some social groups Aashma some Hindi department societies and also English department societies are there in the college dance clubs

Admission

Actually I thought of taking economics honours so i preferred best colleges for my course firstly I choosed Shri Ram College of commerce but the cutoff they have is not meeting my marks because of the deduction of not having economics in my 12th class so I was not able to join it and the second best college for me is Miranda house for my course so i researched about colleges and joined in this college finally.i I got seat in this college in the 1st cutoff itself. No college rejected me mainly i didn't apply for any other college because I got Miranda in 1st chance so i am very happy with this so i didn't apply and I didn't get any rejection. When I joined it's in 2020 at time of COVID it was a merit based admission means they used to calculate the marks of 12th class marks and they get the percentage and they releases cutoff and then we need to check it and apply for those colleges if everything the documents and eligiblity is correct we get the seat in the college.

Faculty

Yeah I can say genuinely the faculty and the students raito is not small it's huge where the lecturer can not connect with everyone as the class is having of 60 students I really didn't like it because the interaction becomes less due to huge class strength. I liked RAVINDRA JHA and ALKA BHUDIRAJ mams because I like the way they teach I can say I like ravindra mam more she talks very sweetly and she teaches well she thought me microeconomics which is completed in online but I used to talk to her whenever I see in the corridors of the Miranda house. Yeah the lecturer that I didn't like is sutapa mam and the sridhar sir I feel sutapa mam is so agressive which is not good for the lecturer to have and I feel personally sreedhar sir is not good explaining and I didn't like the way the both teach . They conduct internals for 25 marks and the paper will easy if we study anyhow I am student who don't study much so I used to get less marks but I can say they are not biased while correcting.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
