Likes
- The hotel where we trained was pretty good. The chefs were good sometimes. We had an exposure to all types fo kitchen.
- The placement was overall okayish. It all depended on how you worked during your training period.
- Amenities and learning facilities were pretty great.
Dislikes
- The practical and exam were conducted poorly. The practicals were not conducted responsively. They didn't teach things properly.
- The counseling dept of the Institute. They are rude.
- The Institute is not responsible. They have pushes us various lengths to complete our projects and exam and practicals.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is good as you get hand on experience at the 5 star hotel. The on the job training is good for the real world experience. But lacks teaching properties. They didn't teach us the way a college should. They have treated us as apprentice which will only work instead of teaching us.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees was 3,91,500 for 18 months of course. Plus Chef uniform: 6900 ; kitchen shoes: 750 ; Medical tests: 2800 approx. There is no kitchen kit provided to students. There is no concession for minority caste. Some were assured that they will get a scholarship worth 30,000. But no such thing was provided. The fees has increased to 4,50,000 or something to the new batches.
Campus Life
The annual function is held during Jan. But is adjusted with accordance to the busyness. There are various festivals celebrating together. Like navratri, Diwali, ganesh chaturthi, etc. Independence day and republic is also celebrated. There is a tiny library which includes books from every departments. Culinary books, services books, book for rooms departments and many more. Yearly cricket matches are held for everyone. And also table tennis.
Admission
I didn't apply for any othe college. As i was nit aware and went with this institute which was referred by my cousin brother. The admission process consists of registration. Then selection interview. The cutoffs are 50% for your 12th and 60% in english. The admission process is pretty smooth.
Faculty
The faculty is very bad. They have forced us to give certian exams without preparation. They have been rude to us for asking leaves. They have pushed us to great extent to complete thier course on time. Instead of us learning. They have delayed our intermediate level for 3 months and forced us to complete 6 months worth studying in 3 months.
