Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good , IGNOU books are very admirable , study material is quite apprehensive and easy to understand , once you get a grasp of it . They prepare you well They should use a easy language for the books . Normal
Fees and Financial Aid
If you opt for IGNOU , you may be trying to get a college that is Distance learning . It's the best for ODL ( online distance learning) Fees -: Rs 5500 for whole course with only online study material . Rs 8000 for whole course with offline study material ( IGNOU send hard copy books ) All the other courses has FEE around 5k to 10k for whole duration of course . As for Financial Aid IGNOU doesn't provide any scholarship as I believe But they do have option for EWS which would lesser your fees .
Campus Life
Yes , IGNOU should have more cultural programmes as it doesn't have many social activities and students mostly study from their home . They should hold a programme here and there monthly to kind of socialize students . It's distance learning so class doesn't matter but should have better buildings . No student run groups
Admission
I choosed this college as I couldn't attend classes regulary and I had to study at home . I chose this college as it had very nice ODL programme. It's the most recognisable University and is available in every state . Admission process is through applying online and you will get a confirmation mail . No I didn't get a rejection from other college.
Faculty
IGNOU doesn't necessarily need a good faculty to student ratio as it's a Distance college . Faculty is nice everywhere, you can approach them through email or contacting your regional centre . Faculties may take time to respond but they will accordingly. There is semester exam once a year normally but can be twice too depending on your course.
