Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to go to do in engineering field after my high secondary education. I choose civil engineering for my career growth. I learned many advanced skills during this period. The teaching method can be improved by student engagements.
Internships Opportunities
Two types of internships are on-campus internships and off-campus internships. Here we can take a project under faculties. which is very helpful in placement and job. If our project selects then they offer a job or recruitment on our project basis.
Placement Experience
From 4th year or 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The major companies are Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Flipkart, ONGC, IOCL, HPCL and other companies. They offer lots of placement offers. The highest package ranges from 60 to 80 lakhs. and the avg. package is 7 to 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placement ranges from 70% to 90%. My plan is a govt. job.

Campus Life
The campus is so diverse in terms of cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. There are two major annual festivals in the college. one is a cultural festival which is incandescence and the other one is a technical fest which is Tecnoesis. There are many clubs for social activities like music, dance, literature etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are a total of 13 hostels in nit Silchar. nine hostels for boys and four hostels for girls. The hostels are so good and the hostel facilities are not as bad as other colleges. The food quality is better than other colleges.
Admission
The reputation and ranking of nit silchar are so good. It is highly ranked in engineering colleges. The availability of labs, libraries, and technology is very good than other colleges. The campus environment is so good. The admission process of this college is so easy.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:15, indicating more personalized and better student support. I like Prof. Dilip Kumar Baidya Director of College because the teaching level is so good and higher than other faculties. I like all the faculties and their teaching way. There are 2 exams for a semester duration. the one is mid semester examination and other one is end semester examination. The total marks is 100.
