Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevant to the current market needs. There is a coding environment in the campus that will make the coding skills of students good. The difficulty level of exam is normal. What the professors teach will be given in exam
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees will be 1,10,000 Rs . For every semester we pay 55,000. Tution fees is 32500, registration fees is 10000, lab fees is 1000, and others. If you are from reserved category, then you don't have to pay the tution fees except all fees are the same. There is not many scholarship available for financially poor students.
Campus Life
The overall experience is good. We get to celebrate Assamese culture festivals as well as Hindi festivals. The teachers teach in english mostly so it's not a problem for any state students. Various clubs and groups are also present here
Hostel Facilities
In the first year we got a double Sharing room. The room was pretty good and we get two cupboards and two tables so it's pretty spacious in the hostel. Quality of food is also good. We get to choose between veg and non veg so it's upto us what to eat
Admission
I selected Nit Silchar for engineering because it's NIRF 7 ranking. It's a institute of national importance so it's a good college to do engineering. Admission process was very simple. We just have to appear in the college on a specified date and do the registration offline
Faculty
The faculty is excellent. There is a 75percent attendance criteria for appearing in exam. The end sem is of 50 norms and the mid sem of 30 . The remaining 20 marks is given by professors on the basis of class test as 10 marks for minor test 5 marks for attendance and 5 marks for project
