Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because I wanted to do mechanical engineering and I was having sone issues due to which I had taken the admission in this college as this is near my home. The curriculum mostly feels outdated and they are trying to improve but not a fast pace. Firstly the practical knowledge is not given sufficiently and also application based learning is missing. The only focus is on theory and getting the syllabus done.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was a general category male student. I was only eligible for 10+12 or JEE score scholarships. I was given a scholarship of ?50,000 yearly. Additionally you get 5% on semester wise payment and 10% on year wise payment. In the year I pid the fees semester wise due to which I was getting only 5% off and the toatl fees for 1st year paid by me was ?2,26,000 In the second year I opted for yaerly payment due to which I got 10% off and I paid 2,08,000 In third year I paid ?2,20,000 In fourth year I paid ?2,32,000 and was refunded an amount of ?5000 which was maybe the security that they had taken earlier. Now I heard they only give 5% scholarships on yearly payment and nothing on half yearly payment. The fees is also increasing every year

Campus Life

4

The overall campus life is good and fun in there. I was able to find good people and friends in college. There are a lot of clubs to participate in but I never participated as I ws not very much interested. Other sports and extra curricular activities are not very much there as colleg focuses mostly on study. The infrastructure is okay and is not great but is not bad. It gets the job done. The hostels are also very good and food in there is also very good

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The first two year of college I lived in the hostel. Ther are many hostels of college. My hostel was a 2 sharing room with personal bathroom. There are other hoatels also with 2-3 sharing with attached/ common washroom options. For boys and girls both. The hiatels for boys and girls are separated. Some hostels are in campus and some are outside the campus The timing restrictions are 8:00 PM after bot allwed outside. The quality of food is good and menu is also good. The obly problem is the menu doesn't change. In 2 years of living the menu was same. Some hostels have gym, TT table After 3rd year i shifted to a rented flat with my friends which was also nice to live in but hostel is very comfortable to live in and very tension free.

Admission

I was having some family issue due to which I had to take this college in Dehradun Iwas also considering UPES in dehradun but due to excessive fee structure I couldn't take it Graphic era is a good college

Faculty

3

In my department the faculties are easy to approach due to less number of students. There are some faculties which are very good at teaching and understanding the students, but there are some exceptions like some teachers Don't teach very well which is common everywhere. The faculty to student ratio batchwise is almost equal as number if students in mechanical engineering are decreasing. The exams are conducted 2 times per semester. The mids and the end terms. The exams are kind of easy to pass just by studying day before exam. Most students are able to clear the exams. The course curriculum is mostly outdated and doesn't relate with the current technology and science.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
