Course Curriculum Overview

4

I personally was in some other course and that's why i chose IGNOU as students choose IGNOU for their flexiblity affordability and recognition. The curriculum is generally relevant to industry needs but some areas might benefit from more specialized topics Preparation for the real world is 7/10 the curriculum provides a solid foundation but some students find it lacking in practical and hands on experience and industry specialists skills Suggested improvements: 1 Incorporate more case studies and internships apart from the assignments and practical files 2 enhance the online resources for the students 3 provide some good source of contact so that the students can contact and ask their queries Frequency and timing of exam: Term end exams- held twice an year in june and December Assignment submission- usually dates spread throughout the semester Practical exams- scheduled seperately in applicable on course

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees structure of IGNOU varies course by course .For MBA the total fees is 62000 which can be paid in installments of 15500 per semester Other courses have different fee structures described as follows: For BA it is 12000- 31800 For B.sc it is 17100- 43500 For B.com it's 8100-12600 For MA it's 10800-25600 For M.Sc it is 15600-43200 Apart from this, there are scholarship systems for students, particularly for the reserved categories Like Sc's ST other minorities and disabilities IGNOU offers various scholarships to students such as : Government of india scholarship IGNOU internal scholarship Scholarships from other organizations Students can consult with an admission counselor or visit the IGNOU official website for information on scholarship details

Campus Life

2

As IGNOU is a distance-learning university it does not have a traditional campus with annual festivities IGNOU has a digital library called E-gyan posh providing online access to over 4000 e-books, 150000 e-journals online database, and resources Ignou has small physical libraries with a limited collection Classroom faculties- online virtual classrooms for interactive sessions Regional and study centers have basic classrooms for occasional workshops and classes sports and extracurricular activities are none as it is a distance university Student Portal- IGNOU's official website and online platforms for student service and resources Online forums and social media groups for student connections Impact on student life - Online communities and forums help connect students with similar interest Regional centre activities and workshops provide occasional face-to-face interactions Limited campus life but flexibility and accessibility prioritize distance learning

Admission

Comparison parameters: Fees- IGNOU is generally more affordable than orher universities this is the main reason why students choose it over others. Other reasons why IGNOU is preferred is due to its flexibility course variety and Recognition , IGNOU degrees are recognised by the UGC and AIU The other college i chose was DU but I didn't know about its exam process and assignments so i didn't continue with that also there is high competition and marking scheme of DU is very strict Admission process of IGNOU Eligibility- varies by course but generally requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent for master's programs Exams Accepted- IGNOU conducts its own entrance exams but also accepts score from UGC NET JRF And CAT Cutoffs- vary by course and exam but generally 40-60% Admission experience- online application followed by entrance exam and document verification

Faculty

4.5

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
