Good college

Placements should be improved and college should ensure that every student is placed in a good company with a good package. Extracurricular activities are amazing and they really helped us to gain confidence and learned how to work in a team.

Course curriculum is good except for the fact that students should be given more practical knowledge experience for better understanding. There is a incubation center provided for students for research work or to implement any idea that needs practical implementation. Exam structure can be improved. There are some or the other exams in every month which builds more pressure on the student.

Placements held in 2017 were average. Only a few students were placed in a good MNC and in a good position. Also, college did provide an internship to a few students. But mostly the students need to search for internships on their own. It is compulsory for B.Tech students to do industrial training of 6 months as a part of their 8th semester.

There were many events celebrated in the college like GD-pro which was an inter-college group discussion event. Also, foundation day is celebrated every year which had many events like idea pitching event for startups, gaming events, cricket matches, photography events. Also, there was an IEEE conference where students presented their various innovative ideas. Various workshops were also organized like a GNOME workshop.

Fees were paid semester wise. It costs around 8 Lakhs for 4 years. They have an option to pay it online or through demand drafts on the college campus. Except for the fees, there are no other expenses that are asked by the college to pay except for some events.

I did not opt for any loan. Although there is an option for education loan for which student can get information at the time of admission.

Campus life is amazing. The campus is spread across a large area. There are 5-6 canteens of every price range and amazing food. Students have various options for sports. Also, there are 3 libraries, sports arenas provide students with a lot of options. The gender ratio is equal, there is no majority of any gender. Also, there are many foreign students who help students in interacting and knowing about different cultures. There are many Extracurricular activities for students like shooting, pool, table tennis, football, cricket, badminton and many more.

Senior students are very helpful. They helped us in studies, projects, and internships. The main help provided by them was with faculties. It was much easier for us to judge the best faculty for a particular subject so that we can take help and notes from those teachers as well.

The university had a separate admission form. I filled the form and based on IIT-mains results they released 3 cut-off lists in different time intervals. Based on the cut-off list dates were alloted to students for document verification and fees deposit.

The faculty is good. Most of the faculties hold Ph.D. degree. Way of teaching is average. Some of them are really good and understands the need of the students, While some of them are still opting for their traditional ways of teaching. Although overall the faculties are very understanding and helpful towards students.
