Course Curriculum Overview
I made my decision of choosing this course because of my interest in tech and the subjects are well designed to cover all the technical aspects required and are weel divided to make learning easy and the labs help in applying these concepts and help mastering them too. There are two main exams the Mid/Insem exam for 30 marks on 2 units out of 6 mostly held after 1 month after semester begins and the End sem at the end of semester for 70 marks on 4 units.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies offer a good internship at my college ,some renowned companies like Microsoft and Adobe too offer very good internships and a lot of students get in campus as well as off campus internships.
Placement Experience
So my college is one of best college known for its placements in Maharashtra, the students here are eligible for incampus placements from their 5th semester and for placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Phonepe ,Adobe ,Barclays and many more visit every year offering good placements. Highest goes to around 40 to 50 lpa and avg 7 to 10lpa. Percentage of students getting placed goes above 90 percent.
Fees and Financial Aid
Myself Omkar Jagtap currently pursuing B.E in IT at PICT,Pune The year wise fees here is 1.04lakhs for general category for EBC ,OBC it is around 60000 and for TFWS it is 20000 as TFWS have 100 percent tution fee waiver and for EBC and OBC it is 50 percent tution fee waiver and after admission you can try for other private scholarships.
Campus Life
The annual cultural festival is 'ADDICTION' where many events take place for 3 days with different themes and technical event is 'INC' where the best technical skills are showcased and competed. Every class a has a projector . there is a small gym in college and a basketball and volleyball court along with a dedicated room for table tennis
Hostel Facilities
I have rented a flat with my friends so dont have a lot of knowledge about college hostel but basic facilities like heater ,wifi , drinking water are provided and the college canteen/mess food is also good and a lot of options for hostels ,pg and food are available near college.
Admission
So to take admission in PICT,Pune there are two ways one is JEE MAINS and second is MHT-CET so considering my rank in MHT-CET and fees affordability too this was the best college for me as it is one of the best colleges to get through MHT-CET exam. The admission process begins after the result of MHT-CET and admission are based on jee and mhtcet.
Faculty
There are around 80 students in one division and for each subject there are more than 3 teachers for every department. The teachers are friendly and helps students most of the times and are approachable almost all the time. The faculties are very experienced and can help you learn the subject in deep ,also many faculties help you in projects and give you chances for working on a research with them guiding you the whole 4 years. As syllabus is under sppu for my batch syllabus and exams were pretty easy and almost everyone clears it but from next batch the college is becoming autonomous so maybe it may change.
