Welcome To Marine Engineering

I always wanted to be a Marine Engineer and I know this college is the best in the industry. The syllabus relevancy and also talking with the pass-out of this institute made me to take admission here. One has to agree that you need to work on ships not in a AC room so the condition will be totally different so practical knowledge you will gain only working in the ship not in the labs. But you need to gain as much as theoretical knowledge you can gain.

There are many places where one can apply for internship like Garden Reach Ship Builders, Goa Shipyard, INS Shivaji, Vizag port, Chennai Port, Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. etc. you can choose for any of them and the internship to be dine in the semester breaks.

Almost everyone in the batch get placement if they want there are many highly reputed companies in the international markets come to take cadets such as Chevron, Shell, NYKSM, Eagle Star, Fleet Management, Anglo Eastern, Synergy, Torm Tankers, Dynagas etc. etc. almost 240/260 gets in campus placement. Cadets from the 4th semester are eligible for placements and for the lady Cadets they can sit for placements from 2nd semester.

Total fees of my course is 900000/- and the yearly fees is 225000/- . Everyone has to pay the same fees. But from 2023 batch the fees has increased to 1250000/-. There are plenty numbers of scholarships one can apply for but he has to be eligible for it.

Asia's largest Marine Fest is organised in our campus called as 'TEMPEST' happened in February every year with different tech competitions and also cultural programmes. The library has all the required books one need to study. from marine engineering to mba every book is available. All the classrooms are well equipped with modern technology and the best class simulator class will give you the vr of ships operation and everything. There are lots of sports one can choose football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, kabaddi, table tennis etc etc . and every hostel has different indoor games.

The hostels are good , some rooms of the hostels are need to be renovated the newly made NJH is the best hostel in the campus. Meals of the hostels are good but somedays don't know what happened to them they just make food which will make you sad . This course is a in campus course so you have to be in the hostel.

I have applied for Tolani, AMET and other colleges but my rank in IMUCET exa was good so i got the chance to get the admission here and most important the fees is the lowest here as compared to other institutions. No rejection from other colleges. You need to give IMUCET exam and you need to have the rank below 700 to get the admission in General Category, as there is reservation for sc,st,obc.

The faculty student ratio in my section is 1:36. All the faculties are highly qualified in their field and will help whenever you ask for any doubt. Specially mentioned C Sarkar sir, Bhattacharya sir, BK Roy sir, B Roy (maths) you will fall in love with their teaching methods they will make you understand the subject crystal clear. There are some faculties who knows very well about the subject but they can not make the topic understood well. You need to look for help from your seniors or YouTube. There are semester end examination of 70 marks you have to score 35+ too pass the exam but it is not that much easy to score that much you need to prepare very well or either you will fail . And there are 2 internals each contain 10 marks and 10 marks are in hand of the faculty members. You need to get updated with the syllabus coverage to score well in the internal examination.
