GBPIET Pauri : A Hidden Gem in the Hills

As the course curiculum is as per AICTE described so there nothing much to say about the course curicullum as we r still studying the same concepts that our professors used to study when they were students of our age But some subjects are included in the curicullum as per current semnaior that really gives exposure to real time need of the world and helps to gain knowledge about them The teaching method could be more interactive as some teachers just come in the class start their teaching and goes out when the class is over no perosonal interaction and desciription about the course This is the area of improvement i fell like that must be improved

The campus placement is just satisfactory not that appreciable but it totally depends on time as there was a time when average pacakage was around 4 lacs to 6 lacs and highest package reached to 12 lpa talking about recent session the placement was not good 90 % students got placed from mechanical department and few placed from ece and ee the average pacakage reached around 3.5 lpa and highest was around 12 lpa in BHE kotdawr. My plans is to sit for placement but apart from this is to go for further studies

The fees structure is as per below provided details 1st year : - 37980 + 31035 = 2nd Year :- 32280 + 31035 = 3rd Year :- 32280 + 31035 = 4th Year :- 32280 + 31535 = The overall fee structure varies around 4 lac only college fees and if u opt for hostels than it may vary to 1,44,000 so overal (5,44,000) Around 5 lac your overall btech will be completed in the nature at the mountain top with a premium himalayan view including hostles and mess fess So it's a great deal in financial matter The fee structure is same for all the students there is no such difference in fee structure on the basis of reservation and all Also since it's state govt funded college so many govt scholarships are available including NSP and many more also you can apply for private scholarships too like siemens, ONGC and many more Also during applying for the college try to apply for Tution fee waivier fees then u fees will automatically be less around 50k anually

The campus life is great as the college is situated on the top of hills in the great sceneic view of himalayan region also it has a great view of srinagar valley which looks beautifull during night time also Also friendships and relationships made over here will lead to great memories as these 4 years will pass with a blink of an eye there are many clubs and students are actively participaing in them too Students are also enthusiastic over sports and other activities

Hostel facilities are provided with a really affordable price and mess facility is also good as compared to price I have experienced boys hostel life s most of the hostels are in good condition or above average condition but some of them are really in worse condition but overall it\s around 3 / 5 So you can opt for hostels It would be a great experience as u will make great memories in hostel life ...

I opteed GBPIET because i was not getting any other good option than this and my primary preference was to gain any branch other than Mechanical and Civil so here i was getting Electrical branch so i oppted this college also Nature was also a part of my preference apart from branch I have applied for COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY Pantnagar apart form this but i was not getting branch of my preference so i oppeted for GBPIET pauri garhwal istead The councelling process was easy it was not that difficult also it does not demand much fess as compared to other counselling forums The councelling process is done by UTU dehradun and generallly there is a wide range of ranks through which students get seat or admission over here

The faculty members in the institute has a great exprecience as some of them had completed their studies from institutes like IIT's NIT's and many more renowed institues but some faculties are not really supportive they are just meant to be a faculty and completed their duty uptill the time they are assigned after that they don't know you and not suppportive in any personal and important matters Talking about Course structure so it has 8 semesters 4 odd and 4 even The faculty to student ratio varies from department to department as i'm from electrical department so over all for every subject there are around 2-3 faculty and some faculties are as Guest for some extra or optive subjects.. There are 3 exams in 1 semester 2 Class tests and 1 End sem examination class test consists of 15 marks each and end sem exam is of 100 marks each subject for some optive or non technical subject they might be of around 50 to 75 marks of exams
