Now this data science is in trend. Even the college provide soft skills subjects like Human Values & Communication Skill enhancement. They should start teaching us Python Language instead of c/c++ (because in Data Science you didn't need to learn C/c+) in our first year rather then 2nd year .

Class Size: 145Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Right now in 2024-2027 batch of BSc Data Science. 1st semester fees is 34270 only for inhouse student or minority (as hindu) . They didn't tell us about other semester fees probably it will be similar to 1st semester fees only. Total which you have to pay in that is around 80000 including all your projects, journal book, others.

They conduct many of fest the famous one is Tarangan it's of 3 days. The classroom are cleaned and they had even provided 3 AC In our classroom. They have many sports activities like chess , cricket, Carrom, Etc .

I had applied to St.Xaviers, Kes Shroff College , Thakur College Of Commerce And Science, Jaihind College , etc. Among these i got accepted in Kes Shroff College and Thakur College (both of colleges provided data science course) . I choose Thakur because of it's reputation, faculty , infrastructure, etc .

Faculty

The faculty of this College is good. They will provide you accurate information about anything you asked for. The exam level is mid. The exams are not too tough to clear even if you start your exam preparation 1-2 week before. The semester exams are divided into 3 parts Internal, CE , Practical, and main one

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

TCSC is tremendous!

Admission was on 12th score as cut-off for Maharashtra board students was 78% and for other boards if from Maharashtra it was 84%. For OMS (Outside Maharashtra) it was 88%. So I was in that 84 % bracket and made it just by edge as mine was 86%. Nearly 300 seats and over 30k students compete for that....Read More
