Likes
- Weather.. The weather in ghurdauri is quite pleasing for eyes and also coming from planes mountains feels like heaven...!!!! You know the aesthetic kind of weather that is what we have in our college..
- Hostel and Mess fees is very affordable and also We have Wi-Fi services is our hostels
- Good infrastructure when it comes to departments and some hostels as well.
Dislikes
- Anything that are usual in cities are not present here for example No cinemas, no malls are nearby.
- In some departments placements are very less.
- Prices of food items are mostly not student friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview
In first year..every student has to study basics of every subject that are sometimes not even related to their own brach.. Which you may feel like it's irrelevant but it is not actually since, every subject has is own importance and also many concepts are interrelated with each other. And when it comes to biotech..the course is all about depth of the subject.
Placement Experience
The placements in our college varies from branch to branch. There are in campus placements in our college and companies do visit here but getting placement will solely depends on your skills. Companies like BEL visited here this time and mechanical engineering students got placements .
Fees and Financial Aid
I pay appox 37500 per sem and my branch is biotechnology and this price is actually very affordable for people compare to any other engineering college and also there are some schemes like TFW or PMSSS quota through which your fees will reduce accordingly
Campus Life
• There are fests in our college like goonj and josh which held alternatively every year and also footloose that helds every year and also there is tech fest named spandan. • The library in our college has books but it's better if you go there earlier and find the best book for yourself.. :) • Our classroom has smart boards and projectors. • There are clubs and societies in our college which you can join if you have intrest.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel and mess fees is very affordable..there are diff no. of people living in a single room when you move form one hostel to another and the per day mess fess is rs. 89 in which they try to provide you different variety of food also but the quality is average only.
Admission
I got to know about this college because one of my relative has been passed out from here. You can take admission here through the counseling of UTU. There are 3 main rounds and 3 spot rounds as well. It requires your JEE percentile for any other branch but in biotech you can get admission on the basis of 12th marks (for PCB students)
Faculty
In biotechnology department there are 9 faculties and there are almost 25-26 students in every year. The teachers in our department are very good at their fields and will definitely guide you whenever you are in need.
